New Creepy 10/28/11 Website Mystery

On an upscale note:

What the website (and our OP) has accomplished:

An 81 page thread filled with the free exchange of ideas. Each idea treated as worthy. No trolling, no arguing, no name-calling.

We have stretched our imagination, honed our research skills, and hopefully had fun along the way.

I'm also getting this FEELING that a couple of ATS members are involved.

As of this morning, there was no FB page. Young John has his picture back up but all involved have their pages locked up tight (so at least they took our suggestion on that).

Oh, yes, I'm convinced that we have at least one among us.

It says "The many who have HEARD the powerful message..." also (and put in a better way than he put it) "Those looking for the point in material, ignore them; they missed the point entirely." So maybe it wasn't any visuals, it was the sounds we needed.

OH, and there's the 409 number again...

Don't forget that Open28 told me that it was "just a number". Now why do I doubt that..lol

The Patience statement showed up not long after I posted that I was losing mine...patience that is.

It's interesting that you said you doubt it's just a number... While I've been waiting, I've been attaching random words to the website, in the hopes of finding a new page... each one brings me to a dead link... 404.

But when I string that number in the address bar, it brings me to a page that is 'forbidden'

It's the only one that does that.

Maybe it's (going to be) something.

Maybe it is (will be) nothing.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Maybe I should get some sleep haha.

I don' know anymore I thought I had it figured out about 75 pgs ago but had to throw all my theories away and try to start over.

There was a post suggesting that this would "open" @ that number. Sounds logical to me.

There are two page titles for the eye pix. The first is https/eyes and the second is http/soon. The first time I tried eyes, at 11:30 pm EST I got a 'forbidden' at 11:46 the eye pic showed up. The certificate is self signed to awardspace.com.

It's 82 and climbing, lol. But yeah, you have a very solid point there. There was zero animosity in this thread. Everyone was focused on searching and learning. Cooperative behavior. I'm not surprised if that is what the Originator had designed into this. Trying to get people to set aside their differences and work towards a common goal. If that's the case, I approve. It was a good read, and I'm also proud of the contributors in this thread for being so well behaved. That's what makes ATS what it is.

ivanova has known more about this than any of us from what i've seen her? write thus far, this started at glp, at least I think it did, before grower posted it here.
