Sorry might be two parts here!
For me, when we ask ourselves question and seek our own answers, we gain the most.
For too long already it has been so easy to think of something, scribble something and send it off somewhere.
But in doing so we lose far more than we gain.
For what we get back are always the thoughts of others, which so often do not offer truly meaningful help.
For me, life is all about experiencing, for having a personal understanding
Not about having ';beliefs' for they are at best ' I believe it is so.'
Beliefs never say I KNOW it is so.
Knowing comes from personal experience, or personal understanding.
Beliefs are generally 'hand-me-downs' at best.
So it is important we know there is a difference in saying I KNOW to 'I believe'.
I asked myself why is change so important?
And there was no quick, glib answer but I eventually came up with the following...
Only through 'change' can there be exposure to things 'new'
Only through 'change' can new experiences be gained.
Only through 'change' can new awareness, new understanding, new knowledge, even new wisdom be discovered.
Only through 'change' can more of The Unkown be made known.
And that for me is the purpose of life. To make known The Unknown
Let me explain how my thinking goes...
When The Creation came into being, everything was a part of The Unknown
Gradually over eons of time came simple life forms, more complicated life forms and finally man.
And in terms of our ability to experience, to make sense of all that is around us in a physical sense, we appear to be the tops.
OK, what follows is an idea of how things might be.
My idea, but like Manuel, I know nothing,
I offer it simply because some might find it an interesting diversion.
For me, the Eternal Creator (eternal in both directions) desired to know more about itself.
To discover how it might do that It entered into the One Original Thought.
From that came The Scheme. The most incredibly elaborate and detailed Plan ever conceived
A part of The Scheme required that The Creator create The Creation, All That has Ever Been, All That Is Now, All That Can Ever Be.
And as its creator, by coming to know and to understand all within The Creation,
The Creator could come to understand itself.
Problem was, as The Creator understood from The Thought, being a pure energy, it could imagine that creation but could not experience it.
Within The Scheme was the idea that The Creator would break away some of its own pure energies.
It would individuate them into equal bundles of energy and these became considered to be Souls.
But Souls were pure energy also and as such, they were be unable to experience either,
But the Scheme allowed for life forms to develop and for the Souls to merge and be part of their lives.
For Souls, things became really interesting when humans made their appearance.
For humans have experiences and sharing their lifetimes with them,
The Souls were able to share those experiences also.
Let us consider an event as an experience, something that happens in time and space, something that comes into the life of a human.
Events can occasionally be life changing, sometimes important, often mundane.
But if you think about it, every event comes with a set of choices, sometimes only one, sometimes many,
I suggest that these choices are pre-determined
And within every set of choices is always the option to do nothing.
I further suggest that, unbeknown to humans yet...
Each choice has a predetermined adventure attached to it,
And within each adventure are predetermined opportunities for further awareness,
Opportunities for further understanding, further knowledge, further wisdom.
