I work everyday for my money, No one else is entitled to it! it is time for people to re-learn what has been lost.
How to take care of yourself and family. I never begrudge any Family with hardships as the network was intended, but I will fight against all who think they are entitled for no reason.
Every Soldier deserves our respect and help. The Safety net was designed to help widows, divorcees, and the like, not able bodied people! If you are too fat, go #@?***. Learn to take care of yourself. Illegal?, go away also.. I am not responsible for any of you people..

If you have Down's or another lifelong ailment, I will gladly let the government confiscate my money . The Chucrch should be first, not the government to do so.

I disagree. The government should not be involved at all. This should be handled by family and the church.

If I get cancer, do I have the right to stick a gun in your face and demand your money? What if I hire someone to rob you for me and they keep a percentage for their own use? That is socialism.

That is called being responsible. If more people acted like you then we might not be in this mess.

As Margaret Thatcher once said:

"The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money".

I bring this up because we in the U.S. are following the European model.

Uh-oh. You sound like you might go back on your promise to abuse the unemployment system. I bet you could not milk it even if you wanted to. I think you may have too much self-respect to be a freeloader.

Maybe 0.5 percent of a penny a week goes to welfare programs, more likely it goes to pay the interest on the debt to the fed. Oh and the wars too.

Thanks, but this is war. I just wish I could get more people like you to join me. This is actually a strategy created by progressives. I am just borrowing it. If more real producers like you and I would not just drop out, but actually abuse the system as the moochers do we could possibly crash the system.

Simplify the problem by ending the wars -- all of them. Empty out all the military bases around the world.
Do a complete audit of every department. Arrest and imprison all guilty parties regardless of title or position and confiscate all of their ill-gotten gains.

There is a start.

While I am certainly not one of the 'millionares and billionaires' that seem to get vilified as of late I have done well and would fall under the target group of earners (due to filing jointly) that would see their taxes increase further if current White House sentiment were to become law.

I think it is possible you need a new tax preparer because once you deduct cost of living and expenses, and working and driving and so many others, I am sure you are well under the wire on this taxable income figure.

Unless you are one of a small group I think it is something like 7%, of Americans, it should not affect you at all. I would get a new tax attorney pronto.

These are the families this will affect and if you are in THIS money category you have better things to do than cruise the internet and
And you are so diversified it hardly affects you, and by you I mean THEM, it's not like we are touching their off shore accounts!

Why these rich complain I don't know, and to be truthful - I don't hear them complaining.
People who it won't affect are complaining.

No, I will just play one on tv. Old joke I know, likely before your time. I am tired of supporting the moochers in society. Therefore I quit. I will "collect my checks" and stop supporting the lazy out there.

i understand both sides of this, i agree people should not have to pay for the lazy, but sometimes telling who is lazy and who is not, is not always straight forward. whilst i am certain there are people who collect money and have no intention of working, i am also certain there are people who try but are always turned down, maybe not so much in the past but in recent times i think this scenerio is getting more common.

the unemployed are growing and jobs are getting more scarce so it stand to reason some people are going to find it very tough. that does not mean they are lazy, it just means oppertunities are occuring a lot less often for some people. so how do we tell who is lazy as oppose to unlucky or not appealing to employers for what ever reason even though they are desperate to get back into work.

not funding social projects can have a very negative effects on society, just look at any underfunded run down area, and ask yourself if you would set up your business there to help provide jobs for the local people there.

to me it is not a matter of not funding social projects, but more a matter of getting people to give something back inreturn for social help.

we need to get out of thinking that once you are unemployed you are no worth and must sit around untill the next job gets offered to you. we need to change attitudes about it being considered slave labour to do work to repay your community, and instead see it as an oppertunity for job skills and lifestyle.

would people feel differently if people who recieved social help did work in the community to the equivelant of what they recieve, providing services for the people who pay a slight portion of their income?

it would ween out the lazy who do not want to contribute or work, if they did not repay society with some of their time they would recieve nothing.

So I ask again; at what point is it enough? How much more of the money I worked hard to earn will I be required to give? 55%? 60%? More?

The percentage you are taxed isn't really relevant.

You should be more concerned about real purchasing power. Your power within society relative to others will be the same.

You will continue to have access to the real physical variables necessary for survival.

You will continue to have access to additional luxuries and technological advancements.

Overall, it is better to be rich in a good economy.

Good luck getting unemployment when you quit your job. Do you really not understand the unemployment system to make a statement like that?

Well, so long as you stick to your principles about moochers...

It's funny, I always see on ATS posts about people being too lazy too work, preferring to be on welfare. Not sure how much welfare is down there, but up here, it's 500 bucks a month. Can't even get an apartment for that. I cannot see anyone deliberately being on welfare.

I do know one person who works only long enough to get on unemployment insurance, then starts all over again when the unemployment runs out. Sadly he is in my extended family. A leech of the highest order. And he had the nerve to say to my disabled brother, "You're lucky you don'y have to go to work every day."

That aside, I just do not see these masses of moochers I read about daily.

My tax preparer is my sister-in-law who fortunately just happens to work for the Internal Revenue Service. Prior to that she had her own business but sold right before I sold mine. She helps me maximize my deductions but some are not avoidable like my property taxes. They reassessed the town this past year and we saw a $6,000 increase. I am however in the process of appealing the assessment. I live in a nice town but by no means a very affluent commmunity. There are several surrouding towns that have even higher property taxes they we do.

That being said, I wish I were rich and I wish the enconomy was good. It might make the nasty pill of grossly inflated taxes that much easier to swallow.

I love how WE vote them in on PROMISES they made to us and how they always renege and do the exact opposite. I didn't PUT YOU INTO POWER through MY vote so you can spend the money that IIIIIIIIIIIiiii worked hard for on wars and weapons of mass destruction.

You need to educate those around you and get petitions circulating around to impeach all levels of government.

Who else thinks politicians should make LESS than the people they represent???
Why should WE vote YOU in so you can okay and green light new laws to further skim our earnings? All the while they earn lucrative salaries and their bonuses alone are often more than what the average salery is for w/e ward or district said politician represents.

It's a backwards system and people need to wake up and have the courage to SAY NO.

I DID NOT vote you into office to do this... therefore you DON'T represent ME, therefore you don't get paid
AAAAAAAAAND YOU'RE FIIIRED!

wake up people. YOU can literally change the world, you just have to have the courage to VOICE your opinion.
Just my two cents... don't pay into a system you never wanted to buy into in the first place. Put your foot down!

You know privatizing the schools would be a good thing. Look at the public education system. Let parents decide with their money where they want their kids to go to school. If you gave each parent a voucher to use out of the taxes they pay, they can pick the school they want. this causes the schools to compete for your child. I don't know about you but i want the best education for my kids that I can afford.
