Personally I love old weapons (WW2) but I do want to know what you all think. So please post your opinion.

I have three ww2 rifles on my favorites list
30/06 Springfield
8MM Mouser
303 Enfield
Smitt/Rubin ( Swiss ) I like it due to its strange action ( toggle )

That is a great question. While classics are worth more as collector pieces, I am always leery of firing a old military firearm. Just due to this stress of multiple firings over its years, various owners/issued personnel and fatigue in the metal.

But then again, we see brand new weapons that have shoddy or faulty workmanship.

It's a crap shoot if you don't know your weapons, and even when you do, the naked eye can't catch all flaws.

I think in this situation, it all comes down to preference, the care of the "classic" weapons, and how comfortable you feel with each weapon. Great to make you think. I personally love my old 7.62 Finnish rifle from WWI. Fires perfect every time
