It may be interesting, but it will have very little affect on events.

In somewhat related events, Russia did mention they are against Assad stepping down though.

Good for the rebels and a massive round of applause from me to Alex Crawford. She always manages to get the news live from battlezones risking her life to get this out there and I hope she remains in one peace and gets awarded for her bravery in being there as it all unfolds.

Hope the Libyans can get the freedom they've wanted for so long once Tripoli falls to the rebels and Gaddafi is ousted from power once and for all.

Looks like disinformation to me. It could be older than we know.

They have not confirmed it is Colonel Gaddafi - Just "Gaddafi" - so don't count your chickens yet... there are quite a few Gaddafi's and wires could easily be crossed

BBC/Sky are both reporting that according to Reuters, the ICC has confirmed that Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam has been detained.

Its definitely dark, look at the sky in the video.

There's just a bunch of street lights.

Didn't Gaddafi try and use a scud missile and it failed.

Now a man with nothing to lose, in a moment of madness could just fire the others wildy.

I would, in his position. The last stand.

Wouldn't it be better to not kill anyone and just surrender?

He would probably never see a jail cell.

Also is it just me or do the 'crowds' seem to be ushered around. Currently watching it live on Sky News and there's a dude in a black t-shirt to bottom right side of the screen. Sometimes when the camera man moves he is shooting at an empty road then this dude waves his arms and crowds move back into shot. Weird to be honest!

yeah I can see that now, it was just because when they showed the first pictures on skynews from green square it was very dark, the image was cut away and when they went back it was light... someone must have put some money in the electric meter
