I agree, hell half of the companies I don't even know wth they produce.
Also can't give up the pepsi, that is one of my worse addictions, I can't drink water, never could and only do if it's bottled and extra cold. And only if I am dying of thirst. I am scared to death of receiving death through a glass of water all my life and have no clue as to why? Anything made by water fine if it is heated to boiling to make it like tea or coffee, no kool aid lol.

Get used to it, it's called globalization... We export jobs to bring down the cost of goods to ourselves. Unless you want to pay 1200 for a cell phone, or 4000 for a desktop computer, we have to outsource overseas.

If you want to penalize companies for outsourcing, you will only be penalizing yourself when you go to the store to buy something.

and your very true if it wasnt for alot of companies in almost all western worlds doing there manufacturing in countries where cheap labour and long hours are the norm we would be more proseprous..

However.. how many of those companies have either bought into other companies, bought over or meged with other companies?

all of these things have a direct impact in the way they manufacture there product...

so its not like they are American companies building America products and shipping them back in, alot now are Multi National companies shipping in many diffrent products to many diffrent countries all over the world...

i mean living in the UK there are a high number of those companies that have certainley been sold in the uk most if not all of my life.

What exactly is it you want?

The system encourages them to make profit, the more profit the better, they are not charities. As they say don't hate the player hate the game right??

So if that's the case maybe the game should be boycotted? Capitalism works well for a while but the gap between the rich and poor it creates and the whole cycle of growth and recessions means it is not sustainable.

So whats the alternative? Socialism, Communism? No the answer comes from within. We need to stop being so self motivated, the pursuit of profit needs to end, we gotta stop relying on governments and companies to make us happy. Help your neighbor, help your family help a stranger everyone has gotta do this otherwise we will live in a world where the poor loot using violence to get what they can for themselves and the rich loot using a tailored suit and a computer. Be it bankers, politicians or street kids wearing hoodies if the system encourages greed then this is what you get. F**k the system, we don't need a system, we just need to look out for each other and work together.

Learn self defense, survival, good and a long life health can be achieved through a well balanced diet, meditation (like Qi Gong) some basic hygiene steps, e.g. washing hands, boiling water and living in a close community where people look out for each other is the key to happiness. Otherwise we will be at the mercy of a government telling us what we can and cant do and companies dictating what technological advances we can take advantage of.

We can still have the wonders of the modern age as long as we don't let individual greed and profit be the motivation. Where would we be if Tesla's dreams were allowed to come to fruition and were not stifled by the money making desires of JP Morgan?

What is your alternative to corporations? They have no obligation to provide you with a job. An employee is a variable cost, like it or not, the same as electricity, water or raw materials that has to be managed to maximize return on investment of the debt holders (stocks, bonds, loans, etc.). Lifetime employment is a thing of the past along with employee loyalty. The biggest reason there are no jobs is because the liberals have gone crazy drunk with power and are over regulating business.

You do realize it would be a whole lot easier to just invade China and Mexico and take over than to boycott all those companies.

It is too late for boycott to work for two reasons...

First if you look deeper into the list and look at all the products these mammoth companies manufacture, it is pretty much everything that currently exists on the markets. Finding American made replacements and simply doing without is difficult.

Secondly, they are global powerhouse companies that have cornered the markets in emerging consumer powerhouse countries. If you think they can't survive and thrive without one American cent, I would wager differently. They get most of their monies elsewhere. China and India are where the money is at these days. They can go cheap because of sheer volume in these two countries alone, and there are probably more.

Our buying power doesn't matter anymore, out currency is worthless, our jobs are gone for good.

The EMPLOYED Chinese, and Indians can afford their cheap crap now.

Funny thing is, they were able to accomplish this on the backs of the middle class. They built strong American companies, and made notable profits. But that wasn't enough. Once they leached us dry, they moved on to greener pastures.

No point boycotting them. The West has enslaved the East since our history books began.

Western powers have pretended to "hand back" chunks of land such as Burma and Hong Kong with the intent of continuing "business" with them.
This worked fine with China but not Burma. They recently expelled all foreign entrepreneurs and closed their borders. No doubt TPTB will have to keep discrediting the Burmese Junta.

summer...thank you for posting this. I've not seen a compiled list like this before so appreciate it. Now to print it off and stick it in my purse cuz I'll never remember 'em all! All I can do is try.

Why are we always willing to blame companies? Big government, thousands of laws and rules written every year, EPS, OSHA, Taxes, and on and on, I think cause most of it. The government has made it hard for any company to keep making money, much less pay higher wages. How about unions? Take Verison for example, they got beat back this week but if they won would Verison paid out more? I think this is much larger than just companies trying to screw the people for more money.
