Iran sentences 2 American men to 8 years in jail, but...

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Two American men arrested more than two years ago while hiking along the Iraq-Iran border have been sentenced to eight years in prison on charges that include espionage, state TV reported Saturday, a sharp blow to hopes their release was imminent.

i know this was posted befor, but i dont think this question was asked. i thought there was three of them, 2 guys and 1 girl. i thought she had cancer or something like that. what ever happened to here? or am i thinking wrong and it was not this case at all?

you are correct. the girl was released a while back. not sure if she had cancer or anything tho.

That woman was sick, I don't know if she had cancer or what but she was sick as a damn dog. I have no clue how they will get out of this one, Iranian jails don't play with people. Once you come in, you're probably not coming back out.

She wasn't released, she was bailed out with hundred thousand dollars I think? Or it could have been even more.

Hiking on Iraq/Iran border Nice cover story, but I'm glad these two have been trialled and sentenced.

I don't believe it, if our relations were better. They would've let those people out, we're in a war and they're not budging. I can't blame them though. Everybody needs to cover their own arse.
