A UFO sat over the city of Minneapolis. Looks like a very high flying balloon. It has been in the sky all day and has moved around a bit. Last report I heard on the radio was that no one knew what it was. Has anyone seen or heard anything about what this is?

Here's the only info I've found so far...

wcco.com...
www.startribune.com...

Peace,

~Jammer

Are there any MN stations that are carrying this? Do they have websites? If you can give us the station call letters we can look for ourselves.

RIGHT!,

Get a camera, take some pics, and post them...
Video, or still photos..Still photos are best for analysis of the object.

I've been searching for info but there is nothing on any of the local station websites. From what I heard on the radio they said a lot of people have been calling in to find out.

I tried taking a picture with my digital but it's too high up. I need a telescope to really see it good (which of course I gave to my parents last year!)

Please post links if you find anything on this.

Thanks.

I just looked at the Star-Tribune and they don't have anything on it... the same goes for KARE11 NBC (I did a quick google search for MN news outlets).

even if it's poor quality pic please take a picture. This can indicate to ATS what you are looking at right now.

While we're at it:

Is there any sound?
Is anyone else next to/near you?
How is it shaped?
Color?
Movement (type and speed)?
Weather conditions?

If you can't take a pic, try to make a tape of the radio callers as evidence.

If you are in the local area, get ANYTHING you can to document this unique occurence!

The local news link indicated that National Weather Service has stated they did NOT release a W. Baloon.

Naturally that doesn't rule out a private, corprorate or university baloon but STILL this could be fascinating!

If there is any way, what-so-ever, for you to get anything on this (audio tape, crummy photo, etc...) please do so.

The Federal Aviation Administration hasn't returned calls about the mysterious object.

Hey, that's cool. I say we post this as an actual news story.

No Sound.
My wife has seen it, as well as my entire softball team and many other eyewitnesses around the twin cities. (been calling the news stations all day apparently)
Looks like a large white balloon.
It moved around in the sky (very slowly) during my softball practice.
Weather is very nice. Breezy but very clear with only a few high cirrus clouds.

I took a pic with my digital, but it simply looks like a star in the sky. Not much to see.
I'll upload it onto my website anyway for anyone to look at.

Wouldn't you know it, a UFO appears and the door that holds the batteries in my camera broke so it's unuseable at the moment. Oh well, I'm certain that other people have been taking pictures much better than mine, it's been in the sky all day.

A balloon is the most common reaction to those who see it, but do they normally stay above 30,000 in the same area for an entire day? Are they controllable aircraft? I don't know enough about them to make a decision on that aspect. The news people are confused.

I'll be really surprised (and pissed off) if nobody pointed a telescopic camera at this bugger. I just found out about it this evening or I would have gotten some good telescopic pictures even if I had to drive to a camera store!

Cool stuff....Hopefully someone gets some good video or pics with a telephoto lens, and hopefully it holds up before the debunkment crew sweeps in to explain it away(if it's indeed an unexplainable).Definitely standing by on this one.
