We're thinking of getting either HBO or Cinemax. I'm more into movies so I guess Cinemax would be a better choice. I checked and I could'nt find how much they would cost, our cable company site does'nt have it listed either.

What would be a better investment?

I would say HBO because not only do they play a decent chunk of movies, but you also get boxing
Actually both seem similar after a while, since they rotate a set of movies for about a month then change it up. IFC and Sundance kicks its butt I think.

Get Starz. I have a satellite, so not only do I have all the Starz channels, but I also have all the HBO's and all the Cinemax channels. Starz plays really new movies all the time, sometimes a year before HBO and Cinemax get them. But, alternateheaven is right, they do have boxing and On The Record with Bob Costas.

HBO is the way to go...Good movies, plus good series like Carnivale. They sometimes have decent specials on too. I've got all the pay channels, but we really only watch HBO for flicks and Carnivale, and Showtime for L Word, Dead Like Me and probably !Huff when it comes out....

My 2 cents
