Greetings from the median!

I've been a lurker on ATS for a while, made an account before but never actually did anything with it. Anyhow, I say "greetings from the median" because that is where I seem to be on almost every issue I find. Most people around, I have noticed, just butt heads all day, the majority refusing to budge an inch. I attempt to remain passive through all issues, as this is the only way to truly gain understanding, by taking the time to consider what another says without judgement based upon preconceptions. Even in areas where I find myself taking a side, I take care to remember that we will never all agree with each other, and only through accepting our differences can we learn to grow together.


How was THAT for an opener?

Haha, thanks for the advice, but I don't fear the trolls. I dropped all my points in endurance and intelligence, and everyone knows simple logic and lightheartedness is their weakness.

Lurking is okay. That's what the web is all about; watching and learning. Joining anything is simply a personal decision.

I believe it was Eisenhower who noted that the center of the road was all the drivable surface. The extremes, right and left, are in the gutters. So... keeping an open mind and avoiding political threads will probably make the median a safe place... at least to begin with.
