There's a supporting document listing him as both an Instructor, and holding a spot on the Curriculum Advisory Committee at Dave School.
Dave School Catalog
This catalog was published Dec 1, 2011.
From my personal experience with visual effects in just stills working with Photoshop, the work can get pretty darned time intensive.
As I understand, this movie, 1Anunnaki was fairly low budget where Jon Gress was wearing several hats as writer, director, camera man, and visual
effects lead.
That's quite a bit of a load on anyone's plate.
A apologize if any of this has been pointed out and mentioned before. I recognize this is an older thread, but, it popped up, and drew an interest,
but, due to the length of the thread, and pressure for time, I have not properly gone through it other than looking at the OP material.
Anyway, as I was suggesting, Jon Gress was wearing many hats for the production of this movie, and all of it can get pretty intense as far as demands
for time, and a man also has to eat.
When I do a photo shoot with a model, the model doesn't get the pictures next day. Post process takes some time, and sometimes even more if they
want me to pull out all the stops. They usually get their pictures in about 30 days.
With a movie? Having to do lots of 3DFX, well, i imagine it's still far from done once all the shooting with actors is over. As said before, man
also has to eat, so, it looks like Jon Gress is working for Dave School, putting some food on the table, and potentially poking around at the project
when he has the time.
I someone wanted to be sneaky, they could enroll at Dave School, get in one of his classes, befriend the man, and one day ask him about the film.
Eh. I think I'm done. Coming back later to read through the bulk of this and edit this post if I''ve wound up just repeating someone else.
