NEWS: Las Vegas Bomb Threat - No Bomb Found

A possible suitcase bomb has evacuated several areas of Las Vegas. From Las Vegas Boulevard to Interstate 15, Sahara Avenue is closed as well as a street off of the Las Vegas Strip.


A man reportedly with blood on his pants left a suitcase, which could possibly hold a bomb, at a gas station near the strip. The man, who has not yet been identified, claimed that he had a bomb in the suitcase. Bomb squads are investigating the scene, but a witness who was walking by says that the suitcase had popped open and clothes were inside.

This is getting beyond a joke, when is our luck going to run out? The next suitcase bomb threat may not be as innocent as this one seems to be. Although, isn't the term 'suitcase bomb' more relevant to the size of the bomb, rather than the means of delivery so to speak?

Whatever the case, we are really REALLY close to the edge here, living on borrowed time imho. I just hope we make it through this in one piece.

The man arrested in Las Vegas for claiming to have a bomb in a suitcase is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation and is not being charged.

The bomb threat on Sahara Avenue, that shut down roads and evacuated buildings was a false alarm. Clothing and personal items were the only contents of the suitcase.

LAS VEGAS No bomb, no injuries, and things are returning to normal after a man claimed he had a bomb in a suitcase and brought Sahara Avenue to a standstill just off the Las Vegas Strip.
Police say the 46-year-old man is now undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. He's not charged with a crime.
