Couldn't have said it better myself. I love Ron Paul. I especialy like the fact that you can pull transcripts or videos of him, regardless of when, and still feel his honesty coming through.

He's not like other politicians. That's why people fail when they try bring him down like one.

Peace out ..... Join the Revolution!!!!

The problem with your post is that I fear nothing. People like you make ME sick.

Assumptive, closed-minded, and lacking perception to other peoples opinions.

Real change within a broken system run by money is impossible. Go throw your money into a campaign for a man that doesn't know your name.

I've given up on nothing, because there is nothing even worth giving up on. Your world is what you make of it, and if you decide to make your world based off of their design, then it isn't really about you anymore.

You can tell which politicians are fake by the way they speak and what they vote for when the time comes. Ron Paul has stood y what he said, and therefore, means he is more of a real candidate than Obama really was. WIll he take bribes? Perhaps, but if he balances the budget and give the people their rights back he would be a better president than many past presidents.

But let me ask. What have you got to lose by voting Ron Paul in the office? Taking away liberties? This is already being happening. Bankruptcy? Already happening. Bring home the troops? Not happening but Ron Paul said he would make it happen, I know Obama said that too.

How about this.. you vote for who you want to. And I will vote for who I want to.

Its funny to me how many anti-Paul posts I see on ATS. It's becoming an almost daily occurrence. Yet where are all of the anti-Perry posts? Where are the anti-Bachmann posts????

It seems to me that the people who don't agree with Ron Paul, or who are against him are just viciously attempting to sway others opinion of the man. "He's gonna do this, and he voted against that". We've been through this scenario so many times. And every time it is always cleared up. You know why? Because the man has been rock steady in his policies and viewpoints for over 30 years. I like what he says and I like what he stands for. Do I agree with every single one of his ideas? Of course not.

That being said, he is the better choice (for me) over every single other person running. Let's face it. The country is looking to put a Republican into office. Anyone who would vote for Obama again needs their head examined. So its going to come down to the best Republican candidate. And right now that field is filled with a dim-witted Religious nut case, a porn obsessed Governor, and a bunch of other people who have a snowballs chance in hell of running. And then you have Dr. Paul.

So for all of you out there, who seem to loath Ron Paul. Those of you who absolutely hate him, are against everything he stands for, or simply just don't like him. Please... tell me, out of the current candidates, who would you choose over Ron Paul? Who do you feel is better qualified? Who has better views? Because I've examined pretty much all of the people running.... and I just see more of the same... or worse.. So please, enlighten me.

I hate Perry and Bachmann too. Politics is a game. Vote for who you want, I never tried to say you can't do that. I simply said your vote doesn't matter.

S & F, OP.

I am sitting here wondering how our fellow Americans have become so very lazy.

No One Man Is Going To Change Anything, people.

You have to get involved in Your Democracy if you want it to represent your hopes and wishes.

Stop thinking you can turn to some guy and give him all your trust and He will fix everything all better for you.

What are you, 3?

You will not be satisfied with his actions, even if he DID win the Presidency.

You know why?

Because No One Man Can Change Anything.

Not in Washington, DC, and not on that scale.

Voting for a candidate is great, but you know what's better?

Running yourself, showing up and writing letters.

Editorials, town halls, visiting your Congressman's office.

Democracy is not served, it is hunted.

Get out there, and stop waiting for Mr. Perfect.

And for heaven's sake, worship Ron Paul in Secret.

Something wrong with normal paragraphs? What are you? 3? Anyway, I can't run for office as I'm from the UK. I have a lot of hope in Ron Paul to set the trend for what my generation wants in a politician. He already has a big following over here. If I could vote in the USA then Ron seems like the only sensible candidate.

If we all went around saying "one man can't change anythything" then I'm sure we'd believe it; just like you. Sorry, but we've chosen freedom of speech and mind.

Things will change ...
Peace

I never said there would be any worse, I simply said there is a strong probability that there wouldn't be any better. The only thing I have to lose by voting for RP is my time. I understand now, moreso than the beginning of the thread, the validity of the people who support him. However my perception of the game remains unchanged. Remember: not only are you speaking as if you're vote actually mattered, but you are also speaking as if one person is going to make a difference.

Nothing is impossible, people are just too scared to do what is necessary for change. Have you actively done anything to try and change the system? Or do you just rant on about how all politics are evil and try to make yourself out to be smarter than the people that are actively trying to do something to change the system we live in.

Doing something you think is pointless is still more effective than doing nothing at all, which clearly seems like the case with you.

Both parts of the US one-party political system have very actively worked towards a socialistic economy.

The republican part has been even more active in this, if anything. For example during Reagan/old Bush, the federal debt went up by a whopping 350% and during Boy George by almost 90%. Both these parties have been and are for expanding government. The probability that Ron Paul would reverse this traditional and iron-clad one-party policy and process is absolutely zero.

I never said that change is impossible, but as long as people continue to accept the lies that are presented and the people in power continue to be in power, they will not allow change. As long as the system is structured the way it is, change is not going to happen. The reason I continue to state that one man can't make a difference is because as long as a group of people elects a "leader," the leader is one man. Collectively, as opposed to accepting what we are given, maybe the pawns should quit the game.

Contradicting yourself. If I'm doing something YOU think is pointless then apparently I'm doing nothing at all? I'm doing more than any other politician has ever done; I'm communicating with people that aren't wearing press badges. I'm speaking out and also listening, not bashing, yet you sit and assume that I am trying to sound smarter than you? You're the one who is scared to step outside the box of political structure in which your mind is bound to accept the world as it is, and you are led to believe you are changing something. The reason people come on ats is to voice their opinions and that is exactly what I am doing. I am not trying to build a following, I am not trying to sound smarter than anyone, once again you are being assumptive and you know nothing.

I didn't really want to comment on this thread, but I had to point out the hilarity of the man to the rear and left of Ron Paul around the 2:50 mark. This guy is tweaking and twitching and very distracting. How rude! How funny!

As far as the thread goes, in order to remain somewhat on topic.

I believe that many are banking their final hope on Ron Paul. The chips are all on the table, and though I feel that people have artificially high expectations while proclaiming unreasonably low expectations ( Example : He will WIN! For sure! Unless he doesn't, but it doesn't matter because he got the issues out on the table. ).

This is a sure sign that no matter the outcome, emotions will run high. There will be repurcussions, and I think this is why Paul debated so heavily on running. He had to figure out what his own expectations are, and what he will do if he fails to achieve a desired result.

He has already announced that his chips are on the table with the American people. If he loses this bid, he is essentially stating he is done with political office.

The disconnect between the people and Paul is that he realizes that failure is an outcome, and he is ok with that. The people are, in my opinion, not OK with this in their hearts.

I'm actually a little frightened to see what happens in 2012.

It is also sad, and distressing, that we are still looking for a single man to solve our problems.

Society has not evolved, whatsoever.

The Muslims hang on to Mohammed, the Christians to Jesus, and the people are screaming for Paul today.

When will we be mature enough to enact our own change? I say never. So I am silent, for the most part, and merely a watcher in the war against the banking elite. Even Jesus died when he challenged the Moneychangers.

I have read your post twice and each time my reaction was that you are certainly not the example of any norm; that the fact that you have a computer and internet access is no proof you don't belong to that segment of our population no one wants. Yes, I concede you are probably a human being and from all indications you can read, write and express yourself clearly but I have zero doubt you are dysfunctional and living off your parents, feeding at the public trough or simply not normal. Add to this your lies and disinformation about Ron Paul and I expect that you will be amongst those that end up in a FEMA Camp if the rest of us trying to save our country by turning back the Globalist Tide fail. Sure, it is possible you will shut up and survive, the bugs always survive and I am sure you will change your tunes to make you blend in but your lack of character will do you in in the end. And Yes, ATS has more than its fair share of unwanteds but you pointing the finger at them does not detract from what and who you are, as you have so clearly declared.

I would have simply responded with a one line response " B S " but Bill would have penalized me for simply saying you're a deluded misfit.

Maybe "we know nothing" because you have given no indication of yourself except that of a complainer and a whiner about the current political system, never expressing any solutions. Just because you think the two party system is a sham doesn't make you outside the box, I think for the most part everyone here agrees with the current political shortcomings. The difference is that most of us have found a politician that challenges typical American politics, and we want to support him and what he is doing.

Complaining and whining about the system and Ron Paul, and yet not having any suggestions or solutions yourself make you sound like a pompous little kid.

Then why write this thread? You seem opposed to the whole political system; is this thread about expressing your opinion about one candidate? or just generally hating on our decision to have faith in him?

The way I see it is, beating them at their own corrupted system (the voting/political system). We know that the structure has to change and if enough people are behind something then they become the majority. Majority rules.

Interesting thread so far. A few quality points made...
