This is an easy and creamy sauce. It's basic and you can add to it to give it different flavors.


Mblah's Creamy White Wine Sauce




Ingredients

One carton (1 quart) of Half and Half
One half bottle of white wine (I use pinot grigio)
6 tbs butter
3 chicken bouillon cubes
2 tbs flour


I mix all ingredients and let cook in a double sauce pot. I cook on low for 3 hrs. You can put it in a small crock pot or on the stove top directly but it boils too fast even on low. Make sure to stir often. You can add more wine if needed or more butter if you want it to not be so creamy.


Things I add to it usually are garlic powder or fresh sauteed garlic....roasted garlic, pesto, mushrooms, fresh parsley and other things. I have added cheeses to it to make an alfredo but that you really need to use a crock pot because of all the cheeses and it can't boil!

So this is just a basic white wine sauce. Its easy and creamy. I use it for bread sticks too! Great side dip

Seriously are you just looking for a fatter more lethargic ATS?
This does look delicious, but I have one question, what size bottle of wine?

Oh, I just had a brilliant idea, I am going to try this as a substitute for my usual alfredo sauce the next time I make shrimp alfredo with garlic cheese bread.

That sounds good!! Yeah add parm and garlic to it and it's goood on pasta!

I use the smaller common size. I dont drink wine so Im not sure of the size, it's just the smaller bottle between the two. LOL Sorry.
