Got the same Motor but wished I had bought the turbo variant. Awesome how the motor hud was moving when reving a little bit. I remember the dyno run of mine, was standing in front of it, nearly jerked off ^^

Cannot put years to these, but in order.

Fiat 126
Triumph 1300
Triumph Dolomite 1500
Rover 2200 SC
Citroen 2CV
Fiat Panda
Mazda 121
Citroen ZX 1.9 DT
Citreon Zantia 1.9 DT
Honda Civic (yuk, what possessed me)!
Citreon C4 1.6 HDI

Best car was the Citreon ZX for reasons you petrol heads would not understand. Best memories were in the 2CV when the world was simpler. Most frightening drive down a mountain was in the Triumph Dolomite. Most interesting after-life use was the Fiat 126 which I left broken down in a farm and years later discovered it was used as a chicken run in the spot it was abandoned. Most sensible car was the C4, which I currently drive and have 140,000 miles on the clock.

First car:
- 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally edition.
I thought it was the fastest car in the world when I test drove it. After a couple of years I ended up selling it to a good friend.
- 2000 Land Rover Discovery series II off of my old Maintenance Officer. Let me tell you, the engine and transmission are awesome but everything else is garbage in the Land Rover. Cheap plastic everywhere, the gauge cluster looks like something from the 80's, and the worst part is that when you need something most of the time its pretty expensive. So I gave it to my mom because she wanted it really badly, no matter what condition it was in. So I bought a:
- 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, the car I had wanted more than anything else in the world. I knew everything about that car. When I went to the dealer to look at one, I knew more than their resident "expert". The model I wanted was more than I wanted to spend, and they were not willing to work with me on the price. I was really depressed for 3 days until I decided to go to another dealer and ended up buying one the next day. I would wake up in the middle of the night to drive that car. My wife would just roll her eyes at me. She hates that car. lol
- 1989 Honda CRX- I bought this to supplement my Evo. I used to drive almost 1000 miles a month and I didn't want to put the mileage on my Evo. That Honda was great, 40 miles to the gallon and ran like a champ, not to mention easy to maintain. I ended up selling it to a friend because his Subaru STi had a messed up piston ring. I was originally going to just lend it to him for how ever long he needed it, but I realized I might never get it back so I sold it to him. I only had it for about 5 months. I might pick up another one.
- 2007 Honda Odyssey- Got it for the wife. Not a bad car to drive. I never thought I'd have a van that I actually liked driving.
Next car: I have a few in mind. Mustang Cobra, Toyota Supra, BMW M3 or 335i (or the diesel model), Corvette ZO6. I'm still thinking about it.

I was pure country and went to the big city to study commercial art. Rode the buss for a couple months but hated it. Told a neighbor and she had " her husbands old car in the garage and wanted it out" I bought it for $300.00. Thank God her husband had passed away five years before because he would have killed her and me. Drove it around Denver for a couple years and everyone stared at me.... No at my $300 car!!!!
Sold it later for$5800.
Picture below isnt mine but identicle.

I'll try and remember but there has been a lot,I won't bother adding the modifications to many of then it'd take days to write

1978 Ford Fiesta 1.1L

1980 Ford Cortina 2.0GL
1980 Ford Fiesta 1.3S

1985 Ford Escort RSTurbo Series 1
1982 Ford Capri 2.0GL
1983 Ford Capri 2.0S
1985 Ford Capri 1.6 Laser
1984 Ford Capri 2.0S
1986 Vauxhall Astra GTE
1986 Vauxhall Cavalier CDi 5-dr
1986 Vauxhall Cavalier SRi 4-dr
1981 Ford Capri 2.8i
1989 Ford Sierra XR4x4
1987 Vauxhall Cavalier SRi130 5-dr
1987 Vauxhall Cavalier Calibre
1989 Vauxhall Cavalier SRi 4-dr
1990 Vauxhall Cavalier GSi2000
1993 Vauxhall Cavalier Sri16v 4-dr
1990 Nissan Bluebird 1.8LX
1995 Vauxhall Cavaleir Sri16v 5-dr
1990 Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth RWD
1991 Nissan Sunny 1.3LX
1989 Nissan 200SX
1991 Ford Sierra Sapphire 1.8 LX
1991 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.8 CD 4-dr
1991 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6GL 5dr
1991 Vuaxhall Cavalier 1.6GL 5-dr
1994 Nissan Primera 2.0eGT 4-dr
1998 Peugeot 306 1.9 Turbo diesel
1996 Peugeot 306 1.4
1997 Renault Laguna 1.8RT
1997 Subaru Legacy 2.0LX
1998 Subaru Impreza WRX sti
2000 Toyota Avensis 1.8GS
2002 Toyota Avensis 1.8 Vermont vvti

The '02 Avensis is my current runaround car and I have to say it's a pretty impressive car for what it is but I've got a Ford Sierra Sapphire 2.0 in my garage that I'm working on because I adore the way those cars drive and handle, especially around the country roads around mine.

Right now I've got it stripped out so I can weld in new metal where the rust has got in.Am making an alloy roll cage and strut braces for it plus seam welding the body to give it real strength and rigidity.

I'm not entirely sure what engine I'm going to put in it yet.I'm thinking of either a N/A Cosworth YBB with increased comp ratio around 10.0 - 1 with a ported heads, fast road/rally cams,a home built injection system based on a pair of weber 45 DCOE's I have with a few more tricks I've got up my sleeve or going a very similar route with a Vauxhall 2.0 Redtop engine.

It might sound weird considering putting in a Vauxhall engine which will need adapting to suit the Cossie box but I've so much experience with the Redtop and know how to tune them for real useable power. They are fanastic engines too (and designed by Cosworth anyway, remember.lol) and with a lightened but rigid body and the minimum of gadgets on board i'll have one fast car on my hands.lol

P.s those cars on the list are my road legal cars only, there's probably at least the same again I've owned for running up forestry tracks, back roads, bought - rebuilt -and sold on for profit etc
