“Proofs of a Conspiracy”

In 1797 John Robison, a Scottish physicist, mathematician, and professor of philosophy at the University of Edinburgh wrote a book titled ‘Proofs of a Conspiracy against all the Religions and Governments of Europe, carried on in the Secret Meetings of Free-Masons, Illuminati and Reading Societies, etc., collected from good authorities’. In this book he conducted perhaps one of the great exposes on the secret cult of the Illuminati. He argued that Dr. Adam Weishaupt’s Order of the Illuminati had infiltrated the Continental Freemasonry with the intent of disbanding and destroying all of religion, monarchies, and all forms of authority and old society so as to remove the individuals from any connection with the sovereign.

Alone, this could be dismissed as a lone conspiracy theorist writing a book on the subject of the Illuminati, but what makes his case more interesting is that hundreds of miles away another man whom Robison had no connection to, also wrote a book detailing the exact some ‘conspiracy’. This man was Augustin Barruel who wrote ‘Memoirs Illustrating the History of Jacobinism’ which explained that the French Revolution was planned, executed, and exacerbated by the Illuminati.

Reverend G. W. Snyder sent a copy of Robison’s book to President George Washington for his opinion on the subject to which Washington replied in a letter dated October 24, 1798:

Revd Sir: I have your favor of the 17th. instant before me; and my only motive to trouble you with the receipt of this letter, is to explain, and correct a mistake which I perceive the hurry in which I am obliged, often, to write letters, have led you into.

It was not my intention to doubt that, the Doctrines of the Illuminati, and principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more truly satisfied of this fact than I am.

The idea that I meant to convey, was, that I did not believe that the Lodges of Free Masons in this Country had, as Societies, endeavoured to propagate the diabolical tenets of the first, or pernicious principles of the latter (if they are susceptible of seperation). That Individuals of them may have done it, or that the founder, or instrument employed to found, the Democratic Societies in the United States, may have had these objects; and actually had a seperation of the People from their Government in view, is too evident to be questioned.

My occupations are such, that but little leisure is allowed me to read News Papers, or Books of any kind; the reading of letters, and preparing answers, absorb much of my time. With respect, etc.

Now to add in Francois Charles de Berckheim who in 1810 was a special commissioner of police at Mayence in France and a Free Mason wrote about the Illuminati infiltrating the Free Masons. He explained that the ultimate aim of the Illuminati was sinister:

"To spread a doctrine subversive of all government .... under the pretext of the regeneration of social morality and the amelioration of the lot and condition of men by means of laws founded on principles and sentiments unknown hitherto and contained only in the heads of the leaders … Illuminism is becoming a great and formidable power, and I fear, in my conscience, that kings and peoples will have much to suffer from it unless foresight and prudence break its frightful mechanism"

In Robison’s ‘Proofs of a Conspiracy’ he notes the initiation ceremony into the “Regent Degree” of the Illuminati which was near the highest degree. During the initiation the initiate would stand facing a skeleton, at its feet were a crown and a sword. He would then be asked “whether that is a skeleton of a king, nobleman, or a beggar”. Regardless of the initiate’s choice the President would declare, “The character of being a man is the only one that is important”. The following part is more important:

The writing inside Skull and Bones headquarters known as the “Tomb” at Yale reads, “Wer war der Thor, wer Weiser, Bettler oder Kaiser? Ob Arm, ob Reich, im Tode gleich.” In English it says, “Who was the fool, who was the wise man, beggar or king? Whether poor or rich, all’s the same in death.” This is just one of many identical connections found between the Bavarian Illuminati and the Skull and Bones society. One of the founders of Skull and Bones, William Huntington Russell, had just returned from studying abroad in Germany shortly before starting Skull and Bones in 1832. “Bonesmen” who will actually talk about the organization admit that Russell had obtained permission from “a German secret society” when he was studying there, and then returned to America to start Skull and Bones. This German secret society was none other than the Illuminati.

There is one person however that has given praise to the ideals and works of Weishaupt and his Illuminati, this is not an irrelevant man or one who had hidden his opinions from the public scene. He was deeply involved in the foundation of these United States. That man is not Alexander Hamilton or anyone else often termed by those opposed to the NWO as possible traitors, no, it is none other than President Thomas Jefferson:

I have lately by accident got a sight of a single volume (the 3d.) of the Abbe Barruel's Antisocial conspiracy, which gives me the first idea I have ever had of what is meant by the Illuminatism against which "illuminate Morse" as he is now called, & his ecclesiastical & monarchical associates have been making such a hue and cry. Barruel's own parts of the book are perfectly the ravings of a Bedlamite. But he quotes largely from Wishaupt whom he considers as the founder of what he calls the order. As you may not have had an opportunity of forming a judgment of this cry of "mad dog" which has been raised against his doctrines, I will give you the idea I have formed from only an hour's reading of Barruel's quotations from him, which you may be sure are not the most favorable. Wishaupt seems to be an enthusiastic Philanthropist. He is among those (as you know the excellent Price and Priestley also are) who believe in the indefinite perfectibility of man. He thinks he may in time be rendered so perfect that he will be able to govern himself in every circumstance so as to injure none, to do all the good he can, to leave government no occasion to exercise their powers over him, & of course to render political government useless.

So on one hand we have President Washington saying that in no way did the suspicious Illuminati infiltrate the Free Mason lodges of the United States, accepting that this would be of a negative result for America, and then on the other hand we have President Jefferson praising Weishaupt and his Illuminati sect. What to make of that is an important question.

But there also lies more information about the Illuminati, hidden away since the 18th century, a treasure trove of information any conspiracy theorist would love to get their hands on. But only a few people actually know about it. The � �Swedish Box”.

However the story becomes only more interesting when you factor in the notion that it was Mayer Amschel Rothschild who drew up the plans for the Illuminati and entrusts Adam Weishaupt with its creation, which was finished in 1776. The Illuminati was a secret society designed by Rothschild, run by Weishaupt, and the principles were based upon the teachings of the Talmud, which are the teachings of Rabbinical Jews. The supposed purpose is to divide the goyim (non-Jews) through political, economic, social, and religious means. They would be armed and incidents provided for them to fight amongst themselves, destroy national governments, destroy religious institutions, and eventually destroy each other.

Weishaupt recruited 2,000 paid followers of the highest esteem in the many fields of society with the intent of controlling the populace.

1) Use monetary and sex bribery to obtain control of men already in high places, in the various levels of all governments and other fields of endeavour.
2) The faculties of colleges and universities were to cultivate students possessing exceptional mental ability belonging to well-bred families with international leanings, and recommend them for special training in internationalism, or rather the notion that only a one-world government can put an end to recurring wars and strife.
3) All influential people trapped into coming under the control of the Illuminati, plus the students who had been specially educated and trained, were to be used as agents and placed behind the scenes of all governments as experts and specialists.
4) To obtain absolute-control of the press, at that time the only mass-communications media which distributed information to the public, so that all news and information could be slanted in order to make the masses believe that a one-world government is the only solution to our many and varied problems.

Many questions then are raised going by this timeline of events:

1. Rothschild provides the funds and outline of the Illuminati for Weishaupt to create.
2. Weishaupt creates the Illuminati and infiltrates the Free Mason lodges.
3. Weishaupt issues an order to begin the French Revolution but it is intercepted by Bavarian authorities and published in the book “The Original Writings of The Order and Sect of The Illuminati”.
4. Weishaupt is banished from Bavaria.
5. The Illuminati’s plan for a French Revolution finally comes to fruition in 1789 leading the ‘Reign of Terror’, ending of the Christian calendar, rise of the merchant class to power, abolition of all religion and culture of past, and the first creation of an authoritarian state under Napoleon.
6. Thomas Jefferson applauds the French Revolution, continuing his support even through the Reign of Terror.
7. Robison and Barruel write their books on the Illuminati conspiracy.
8. President Washington responds in a letter stating that the Illuminati never infiltrated American Free Mason lodges.
9. President Jefferson denounces Robison and Barruel while praising Weishaupt.
10. William Huntington Russell returns from studying in Germany to the US and creates the Skull and Bones in 1832.

This was a great read. However you suggest that the free mason order has been infiltrated in 1800 and you could be right and thus leaves us with our present time.

Did the masonic order get "cleaned" or are everything still according to plans...

I think the Free Mason lodges kicked out the Illuminati members because they were just too extreme for the lodge. That is why you will have Free Masons and they will honestly not know anything about some conspiracy involving the Illuminati. The lodges were originally a meeting place for people to freely and openly discuss new ideas which would otherwise be persecuted for, but this allowed some real radicals to vent and they obviously created a following, when it got out of control they were kicked out or they kept their connection with the Illuminati secret from the other lodge members.
