I'm still looking for the photo that was supposedly obtained by the rover.

When I look at the scorched and buckling baked surface, it makes me wonder what the hell happened there, like a nuclear war or something very hot.

Can you show many instances of naturally formed symmetrical rocks?

Planets....

Planets are made from more than just rock.

And they are not entirely symmetrical; if they were there would be no mountains or valleys.

The object shown by the op is not perfectly symmetrical either. Actually, the earth looks a lot more symmetrical to my eye.

Here is some further analysis.

Watch the video from 1:04 to 1:12 and you'll see a shadow move on the ground. Cloud or something else?

We can only see two sides of these objects, this is not proof that they are symmetrical.

If the Earth was symmetrical we would not have mountains, valleys or oceans and satellite imagery shows that the Earth is actually not spherical but slightly elliptic.

Again, the Earth is comprised of more than rock.

My original statement was that you would need to come up with evidence that "a rock" on Earth has been found to be perfectly naturally symmetrical to entertain that the object could be a rock without further investigation.

The lack of proof for the veracity of the original images provides more doubt to this anomaly than anything else.

I take this to mean you cannot come up with any evidence.

Did you do create that image? If so, you are very quick!

you could actually CLICK on the LINK I provided with the image.....
and they are symmetrical in the vertical from the view point I posted...

Theres no evidence that the object in the OP is perfectly symmetrical as we only have one 2D image of it..... The earth is without doubt more symmetrical than the image in the OP

Again, there is no symmetry here.

For something to be symmetrical it must display identical dimensions on opposite sides when split down the midpoint axis.

I'm not saying that an absolutely symmetrical rock does not exist, just that I've never seen evidence that one has ever been found and this must be kept in mind if the OP's images are in fact real.

Apologies, I did not check out the link previously.

But when I did, I could not find the part where the symmetry was mentioned.

Could you point it out for me?

The Earth is only symmetrical from deep in space, it is not symmetrical and you are talking about two objects of different composition and vastly different in scale. It is not a very good comparison.

Lighten up Francis.

You might want to check out what the academic method of investigation is. That is the scrutiny I am using here, just look at the logic I used in these posts.

I'm not saying it is impossible, just that there is no evidence that the phenomenon actually occurs in nature, therefore when an image on Mars shows up, it cannot be easily explained.

Using the same method, there is more doubt in the fact that the original image has not been verified.

Just because you have not been exposed to other methods of scrutiny than what you are using does not mean that anyone else is a troll. I am just using logic, that is all.
