It happened about 10 mins ago.

There are tsunami warnings for Miaggi and Fukushima on the tv right now. Epicentre same as the 11th March quake from what I can see.

I just saw that on Twitter. Oh boy. What time is it there, do you know?
I hope people are awake and get the alerts!

I'm watching MSM (CNN et.al) and not seeing anything yet. That would be crazy if they are having to go through that again!

I'm not surprised. There have been quite a few off shore in that area recently..
I hope those in the area are alerted. Just checked...it's 2:56 pm now in that area.

Im in Tokyo right now.

It is 2.57 in the afternoon. The TV immediately went into warnings and has been repeating the warnings on loop.

It was quite a strong one even here in tokyo.

People will get the warnings, esp at this time of day.

Well here we go again hu?
I hope everone will be ok this time around.
I can hardly wait for the first A-hole to get on here spouting off all kinds of crap about this being perfectly normal and earthquakes happen all of the time.

God bless the people of Japan.

The warning is not being called off, 50cm. It has already hit in one area, at that height.

I hope all those other nuclear plants along the coast there will be ok. Oh geez.

50cm tsunami - how does that compare to the last one that hit, anyone know?

I am glad it is a good time for people to be awake. it is 2am here, guess we are 12 hours time away.

Is this a different quake, or are they calling the same quake a 6.5?
