Is there a X18 flare heading this way?

Just got a message from a friend on facebook. She showed me a u tube video of a x18 flare just being unleashed, and most of the sites that moniter the sun are saying nothing.

Im not fully buying it yet. But thought I would put it out to you guys to look into.

I'm not sure how other ATS watches have missed this, but it does appear to be legit...

Spaceweather.com is showing a 45% chance of M class flare and a 10% chance of X class....

I'm surprised there isn't more chatter on this, but I haven't verified the strength of this just yet and whether or not it will directly hit the planet.

I would like clarification on how he is reading that video as an X18...

I can obviously see the flare and I'm not disputing that, but I'd like to know how it's an X18 that's all.

If this flare is indeed an X18
I would be prepared for perhaps
some major power and communication
outages. Wow that is one big flare!!

The video in the OP and the source it is from has current dates, I think what everyone is doing now is scrambling to see if it is verifiably an actual X class flare. If this is true would it effect the entire planet, or would the sun facing side get it worse than the dark side?

It will not be long until we get a CME that is so large that scientist's will have to create a Y or Z class flare.

I am not joking. This is but ONE of the reasons for the increased number of bunkers being built around the world.

The two are being confused. The current flare being imaged is minor. The X18 flare being connected to it is from 2003.
The confusion actually began with a Google result showing the 2003 story from a few hours ago.

Perhaps this older info is floating in cyberspace anew because of NASA's press conference today, in which they announced improving forecasting of solar activity based on a several-year crunch of data from earlier flares. They released this video and several others taken from much earlier events.
