Andy Hug (September 7, 1964 – August 24, 2000) was a Swiss Seidokaikan and Kyokushin karateka and kickboxer from Wohlen. Hug was the K-1 World Grand Prix 1996 champion and runner up in 1997 and 1998.

In a week there will be 11 years since he surprisingly died from leukemia.

I miss old K-1 and Andy Hug.

what a style in his KO's, variety of strikes....

edit for stupid integration of youtube link and stupid me

Bas Rutten vs. Andy Hug would've been explosive!

sorry for slow reply but betting broke my keyboard so i couldn't write for few days

I would love to see that match

kicks flying through all the way

Miss those kind of fighters. Nowadays all i get to see on cable are ultra boring UFC matches with more and more gay wrestling moves.

check tis Cro cop video and see his KO's before he had left knee surgery that slowed his killing left leg

Wow how did I miss this thread....

Andy Hug was one of the best, in his time the dude put on shows and fought some of the best and won, and lost...but always delivered....he put some beatings on some of the best out there he put a beating on ray sefo and others. Though "mr perfect" Ernesto Hoost was his cryptanite, Hoost never won easy, and always walked away damaged when he fought Andy....

In fact when andy quit fighting hoost said he was sad, but glad he would never have to fight him again.

Been watching old fight of his because of this thread....but your vid shows what he was about, and needs to be put up a second time.

Been some time, but RIP Andy Hug, hes probably KO'ing angels up in heaven now.
