Any one think it's a bit of a coincidence that the government
has said there will be cutbacks for the police force's around
the UK then all hell breaks loose, looting, guns, mass damage
to mainly big corporate compony's etc.
how many of you think agent provocateurs may have been in
with the masses causing some of the damage ?
to me this sounds like just the thing that may make our government
change there stance on the cut backs.
Sorry if there is a similar thread on this topic but I am struggling to
Keep up to date on ATS as my laptop is broken so I'm limited
to my iphone, for now at least.

Tell you what, i found it strange how long it took the police to get their act together and bring in more officers to nip it in the butt and stop it spreading - I can see that being done deliberately to "show" the government how much police are really needed.

I don't know why, but this seems a bit dodgy to me.

If they had been transparent about the Mark Duggan incident, and not shrouded it in mystery, reported the death to the family, maybe the protesters outside the police station wouldn't have lost their patience. I don't believe there were any "agent provocateurs" amidst the thugs looting, maybe onlineā€¦.

All interesting replies, what seemed fishy was the statement
made to a reporter by a major gang member that before it
really kicked off a police officer had a gun pointed at his head
by one of the gang members, it's alleged he was told by the police
that as long as no officers were hurt they could do as they pleased!
this was reported on the BBC NEWS, how true it is I don't know
and as for these threats of kicking people out of council housing if
they were found guilty of looting or whatever how pathetic!
and we do not need any more police in the UK, it seems it's ok for
them to abuse there own laws. they are the thugs IMO.
