Someone retweeted this and I saw it by chance, the original tweet being from a girl from Gaza: "my baby sister jumpped off the bed asking me frantically wt the sound was. "that was thunder honey it's goin to rain," i lied."

Honestly, I'm astonished that there are still people who have nothing to do with Israel who supports them. I guess they really completely control the media in western countries. I bet you never saw mutilated Palestinian babies in the news there. The media does show that kind of stuff where I am from. Ever since I was a kid actually.

I mean, yesterday there were news that 2 years and 13 years old children got killed in a raid on Gaza. How would you justify that? A potential "terrorist" after growing up? Pathetic.

I'm by no means with the killing of citizens from the other side, and I realize it's not the first time that happens, but the retaliation is always utterly disproportionate it's unbelievable. Not to mention that most people on Gaza who keeps on suffering has nothing to do whatsoever with those attacks they retaliate. There is just no comparison for the amount of citizens dying from both sides. For all that I find it mind-boggling that there may be people who have nothing to do with Israel who still support that.

It's all ****ed up. I really gave up on the human race.

Isn't it sick how the world is so hell bent on revenge?

Poor people. All of them. Just more pain. How could this be the way to make things better? These young Palestinians have to realize that they will suffer more and more until they reject their evil, violent nature and especially this "kill them all" scheme. One self-immolated monk has much stronger effect than hundreds of killed innocent people.

There is one possibility not to be disregarded entirely: a false flag operation ordered by Netanyahu's beleaguered government to turn attention (domestic and internationally) away from the protests taking place throughout the country.

Nothing is ever as it seems.

>> That was my FIRST thought.

I wonder if the "Arab Spring" is coming to Israel and maybe some folks living there are tired of an authoritarian government with the same response to all problems?

I don't know much about this issue -- there is too much else going on to really spend much time.

>> There was also a coordinated attack of 42 different incidents in Iraq recently -- as the resentment of occupation shows no sign of letting up.

I know times are tough in the USA with the "phony economic emergency" -- but could it be much different for other parts of the world -- or are all these uprisings at this time have something to do with "America's waning control?" Or something else?

The Libyan uprising, seems more than less CIA sponsored (home-grown discontents getting some money, hardware and inspiration from a foreign sugar daddy for his own purposes) -- just the cynic in me. But the other uprisings are very definitely people sick of the status quo.

>> But with Israel and their Likud party -- I don't believe ANYTHING that government has to say. It's basically like the NeoCons in the USA -- and having peace break out is never in their interests.

Palestinians, if you can call them that.. are refugees that nobody wants.

They do not have claim to the land. They might as well be gypsies.

Their sole use is as a political tool to undermine the Western support for Israel.

The people of Gaza on the whole, are not even suffering as most make out, I guess they are suffering from lack of smart phone choice, though they are selling the iphone 4g there.

Pay more attention to what IsraelGuy has said, he posts using logic and common sense, together with historical reference.

In addition, check out the West Bank, it is not governed by a terror organisation and enjoys a good standard of living, not to mention a good night life. It certainly suffers very little in the way of conflict, if any.

So, to recap; Electing a terrorist organisation to govern your country = Bad.

Not electing a terrorist organisation to govern your country = Good.

There is a relatively large demonstration in front of the israeli embassy in Cairo, people are calling for the embassy to be closed and the israeli flag taken down.

It has been a peaceful protest so far, but what's particularly catching my eye is the amount of false information on twitter trying to fuel hatred into the protesters, and the idiots believe.
Seems like twitter is where all the crap starts nowadays, makes you wonder... doesn't it ?

I agree that electing a terrorist govt. is bad, no argument there.

However, killing children is bad
Not killing children is good

Overreacting to a terrorist attack by killing innocent civilians is like digging your own grave, it will only fuel the hatred of the people more = more terrorists. Some of those people have lost everything in the raids and air strikes, they have nothing to lose, so they might as well blow themselves up. Why is that so difficult to understand ?

Either way, dropping bombs on schools and hospitals will never bring any peace, it will just worsen the situation. But I guess the IDF needs target practice.

Edit: And please answer this, if Israel has such a good government that is so peace loving, why are they continuously harassing their neighbours. For example, refusing to apologize to Turkey for dead activists, shooting Egyptian soldiers on the borders (not just this week, been going on for years). If they want peace, they should stop acting like the big bad school bully in the region.

Says the guy who supports a Government that is in the middle of a genocide campaign.

Genocide campaign? The only reason there is unrelated deaths among the Palestinians is the hard fact, that you joyfully ignore, which is that the terrorists are operating from within civilian population. Storing ammunitions inside random civilian apartments and mosques, launching rockets from rooftops, neighborhood areas and even kindergardens... You have to be a bloody idiot to think civilians will not be harmed due to IDF's bombings after Hamas (or any other terror organization for that matter) embeds itself onto the population whether they like it or not.

The cold and sad truth is that when there is a launcher situated at a rooftop that "by chance" lays above a family with 4 children, the IDF will have to open fire in order to nullify the launcher and prevent Israeli casualties. Surely you don't expect the IDF to give in when Hamas is aiming a gun at our heads and hides behind women and children? Would it be so illogical to think we won't hesitate to fire and defend ourselves even if they hide behind civilians? And while we're on the subject - do tell me where have you last heard of a warplane that drops leaflets of warnings in Arabic about upcoming bombardment before the bombardment took place? (Latest Gaza conflict and second Lebanon war)
The IDF does what it can to prevent civilian deaths.
Not to mention the media often ignores the fact that Hamas men wear no uniform therefore only if they had died with their weapons on them they would be considered terrorists by the mainstream media (which you say is controlled by Jews?). Lots of time Hamas militants have been killed without their weapons and were deemed civilian casualties by the media.

..Well are you actually convinced Israelis enjoy seeing little babies torn into pieces? Do you think it serves some kind of goal for us? Would we live another day happily if we know that babies and civilians have been killed? No. We prefer seeing armed men die, but it's not possible to avoid civilian deaths all the time. Most of the time it's impossible due to Hamas tactics.

Why is it so freaking hard for people to accept that someone may have a dislike for a particular nations Government.

Totally irrelevant and I have never said that. If you re-read my posts I was referring to the hate speeches being thrown at Israelis with the excuse of "I'm not anti-Jew I'm anti-Zionist". If you're against any government, including my own, I'm in no position to argue with you as I'm not a part of said government.

IMO the Government of Israel are no better than any other in the Middle East.

Yup, after Egypt's leaders ran over people in the street for protesting, Lybian dictator threatens to bomb his entire country due to fears of losing power, Iranian hanging homosexuals, cheating couples, non religious girls or "sinners" in general in the street, Syrian army butchers protesters with tank shells.. Yeah, really. Israeli government is the worse! How dare they defend themselves against a pathetic enemy that cannot operate even once from an area which is not crowded with civilians.

As my post above says - nobody intends on killing babies or innocent civilians. That is not on anybody's wish list. Not even the evil (oooooh!) Israeli government.. what good would it do compared to the catastrophic damage it holds in the international stage, the media, and the Palestinians themselves.

My post above explains why civilians are not targeted on purpose and why it's often impossible to avoid them.

The head of Israel's National Security Council (NSC) urges military action by the regime in the Sinai Peninsula, following growing tensions with Egypt.

That's gonna end well... NOT.

Egypt decides to withdraw its ambassador to Israel over deaths of security forces in Sinai.

A group of Egyptian hackers just hacked one of the Israeli army's websites and left them a message "This is not Mubarak's Egypt, anymore."

Artillery shelling in eastern Gaza City.

Rocket fired from Gaza to south Israel.

Reported tank shelling in Eastern and Western Gaza.

Arab league to hold emergency meeting regarding #Gaza

2 loud explosions have rocked central Gaza in the past 10 minutes. Ambulances now on their way to the scene.

Egyptian sources report that Cairo is planning to inject substantial military strength into the Sinai Peninsula in the coming hours, forcing Israel's army to confront the Egyptian army on its southwestern border for the first time in three decades.

This is big... usually they have to ask Israel if they can do so... will they ask Israel this time or do it unilaterally?

I haven't seen one suggestion to Jew killing on this thread!

Most of the mis-conceived 'Jew-Hating' I hear people bleat on about is actually anti-zionism. Two separate things entirely.

You better open your eyes then.

Well, Zionism today is simply the concept of Jews living in Israel. A Jewish fella that lives in Israel and plans on raising his family there, is what many of you call 'a dirty Zionist'. So in fact when one says he doesn't hate Jews, only Zionists, he means he'd like to see any Jew that lives in Israel gone from the face of this earth. Changing your title alittle does not fool anyone.

Never-the-less, there is plenty of the same attitude towards Jews today as it was before the holocaust, and it can be found at this very site. Baseless accusations, claiming all kinds of theories for no reason under no evidence at all, blaming Jews for being X or Y, wishing Israel off the map etc.

..Personally I don't really care about what these people think, I have always said they can keep whining for all of their hateful lives if they wish, I don't care. It's just ticks me off to see comments like your's that claim there is no anti-Jewish attitude, only anti-Zionist one. It's too much of denying the very obvious..

Funniest thing is when someone claims he is not anti-Jewish, and as proof, expresses support to all kinds of Jewish sects that has self-hating on their agenda, like Neturei Karta in Iran that claim Jews should flee Israel.

Main point - one better grow a pair, admit he is what he is, instead of making a lighter title for himself only not to be labeled as a racist or worse.

If you are saying all Jews in Israel are Zionist you are wrong. Traditional Jews oppose Zionism.

Zionism is just a extremist right wing political movement.
