rt.com...

This news comes from an unamed source, I suppose, a local Libyan newspaper. I had no idea he was sick. If Gaddafi is so sick he must resign his power, what does this mean? Does NATO continue to be involved with Libya after Gaddafi assigns someone to take his place? Will there be a new round of negations? Could be this be an easy way for Gaddafi to escape this war? Who is Muhammad Alqamoda and what kind of leader is he and what is his background?

As Libyan rebels continue advancing on the capital Tripoli, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, who has been struggling to stay in power since March, is reported to be "gravely ill."

The news comes from unnamed sources quoted by the Asharq al-Awasat newspaper. No further details on the colonel’s medical condition is said to be available, though the rebel Transitional National Council does refer to medical reports allegedly confirming that Gaddafi has had a serious illness.

He does have his demands, apparently

"Colonel Gaddafi's conditions are an immediate cease-fire and the withdrawal of NATO forces," the Itar-Tass news agency quoted an unnamed source in Libya’s military as saying. "Two Airbus aircraft from South Africa landed at Tripoli International Airport. One of them included a delegation, while the second was empty of passengers."

Either way, it looks like he is calling it quits and ready to fly himself and his family to Venezuela, if any of this is true.

I saw this in an episode of Oz. The CIA has been crushing glass and mixing into his food! He's been ingesting glass for who knows how long! OUCH!

I dunno if I trust the Whitehouse & MSM so what they say about Gaddafi could be all lies and it wouldn't surprise me. So I dunno if this man is the killer they make him out to be. I also heard he sleeps in a tent, not a Mansion, and refuses to move into the Mansion until every Libyan has their own home. But either way, he prolly can't keep up with NATO bombings, no fly zones, and of everything else in between, like the CIA arming rebels and the like. So maybe he's ready to call it a day. Fighting the west is hard work, they never stop!

He's not coming to the US, UK, Canada, France, or Germany. I'm sure Russia would take him but Gaddafi rather live in the warm weather vs the brutal cold Russian winters

Chavez offered him safe passage and sanctuary weeks ago. He's probably just doing this to tweak our nose up here and annoy Obama when possible. I can't imagine what Gaddafi will be allowed to keep which would interest another World Leader.

I'll actually be very surprised if Gaddafi is 1, allowed to leave Libya alive at all and if he is, 2. that he isn't brought back in the same kind of animal cage and confinement Mubarak currently enjoys. I'd say that's Gaddafi's benefit in Chavez's socialist utopia. It'll take an armed incursion to get Gaddafi back out of there to stand trial.

My views have not changed since the early days. This whole thing is wrong. It runs contrary to everything the United States was created to stand for and hold dear. In a just world, everyone in a command position who contributed to the Libya war happening should see their last days spent in a dark, damp and perfectly nightmarish dungeon cell. Hey, wait...The CIA has just the place. It's a dungeon outside Kandahar on their black (read criminal) prison list. They made it, they can live in it.

I'm sorry to chuckle - but just a quick skim of your thread has me in stitches.

Only the most arrogant of humans could be gravely ill AND have demands. I can hear it now! "I will not die unless you give me what I want!!"

Think of it as his last, dying wish
As long as Gaddafi can speak, he'll make demands until they are met. I agree with him that NATO needs to leave Libya. We'll see what else is on his mind if any of this is true. Plus, he'll leave his people in power so as long as they are loyal to Gaddafi and his causes, well the West is back where they started. This whole thing is a mess

I'm sure he is gravely ill. Since the rebels have started advancing on Tripoli, he's lost control of his bowels and keeps sh***ing his pants.
