I was just going through the trade data on the US website to see what how much trade the US is doing with countries like Iran, which US companies are prohibited from doing business with.

In 2003, there were $161.3 million in imports from Iran and $98.9 million in exports.

I looked around a little further and found those exports to Iran by end-use category and was surprised to see an entry for Nuclear fuel materials.
Exports under this category were $177,000 in 2002 and 22,000 in 2003.
U.S. Exports to Iran

It's not a high amount but I think it's a little strange to be selling Iran Nuclear fuel materials while condemning them for pursuing Nuclear technology.

I'm not surprised one bit.

There is no morality in commerce. Recall if you will the collaboration of some US businesses with Nazi Germany (W's grandfather was convicted!), the fact that the US provided Saddam with his WMDs etc.

Unfortunately, when there is money to be made all other considerations go out the window.
