Thanks for bringing up 2005yu55....so it misses earth by 200,000 or so miles Ummmm how close will get to the moon that does have an influence on our tides and life as we know it?

ELENIN is a comet...per say, but don't think of it as an impact scenario, not the threat.
Think of it as an phenomenon and what its presence could bring or introduce as a near-earth object.
This has occurred before.

The name does have significance, fortunately some people out there have a conscious.
Number are key, 27... as in 27th Parallel...Easter Island. The dates circulating around the internet are mostly in the ballpark, my birthday this year is going to probably suck. Anyway, I know it isn't much but its all I have, the information on this "event" is strictly need-to-know basis and panic containment. This is all I can offer that some of you have not already discovered. Please keep researching, this "event" was also one of many reasons for the WikiLeaks fiasco and why they were targeted. We leaked our own information in an effort to go after them before this event could begin to surface.

This alignment could trigger the largest Earthquake in the history of mankind !!! Remember the Bible talking about a large earthquake moving mountains and stuff … this could be it if “it” wasn’t 2 days ago. The distance between ELENIN and the EARTH : 35.416.236 miles or 56.984.723 kilometers.

Ill try to elaborate as best I can. The message I originally posted was given to me by someone I know. I posted it word for word.

This is what I know about who gave it to me. They work for a company that has a contract with what I assume is a Federal agency. They do clerical work and data processing, however their employees make about 10x as much as most people doing the same work.

The security at this place is next to insane. Almost a year long screening process to work there. Employees work in total isolation form coworkers, the only contact they have with anyone is the security escorts to and from work. All employees are transported to and from work. Food is provided onsite.
Nothing enters or leaves building, no pens, paperclips, etc. Employees have two ID badges, one they show when they are picked up from home. They leave that badge with security ad are provided a second one for use within the building. They are scanned using body scanners, RFID detectors, etc. at several points in the facility.
A security guard once joked that everything flushed down the toilet goes through a screening process. Confidentiality agreements are required everytime they are provided with a new task. Every employee is assigned a task, it changes daily whether they are finished or not.

The message they provided is from information they extrapolated from the last 18 months or so and based on one of the conversations I have had with them, here is what I can add.

The number at the end of the message, they had said that it keeps appearing on project files. No clue as to what it means or it may mean nothing.


27 = A lot of activity and coordinates relating to 27 degrees south (I believe) or along the 27th parallel. Also may have mean a date and is related to a project or order. Project 27 or Order 27.
It is an important number.

One project they were assigned was data entry from a study on the effects of both high and low gravitation force on people ranging from infant to 80+

Another was processing invoices for what appeared to be 820,000 re-breathers.

Its hard to say how all this ties into the ELENIN event, our convo's have been very fractionalized based on the diveristy of information they have worked with. Workload is deliberately designed to make it near impossible to discern what they are working on. They said 80% of the material they get is gibberish.
I posted this out of respect for the person who gave this to me, I have known them for a long time and they practically begged me.

I thought I would take a moment to add to this thread - for those of you who are interested in the information which has been, and is still being added to this discussion...

Leonid Elenin - some contend that this is actually not an adequate translation of the (amateur?) astronomer's name, which should more directly translate to Leonid "Yelenin." however, it occurs to me that if that were the case, we would have seen such a correction imposed by the man himself by this time (unless he doesn't care.)

"Leonid" has its roots in the Mecedonian name "Leonidas" but several have attributed further linkage to components of the name, such as "leo" as a reference to "lion" (as in the constellation), and "nin = which could be interpreted as a reference to "Ninurta," the Sumero-Babylonian god - son of Enlil, and prominent character in the "Tablets of Destiny" regarding "the" great flood.

Interestingly, Elenin is a deriviative of the Mesopotamian name "Helena" (of Trojan fame.) I have understood that "Helena" is also a derivative from "Helios" the Sun god.

Some might contend that the selection of the name has explicit prophetic application, except, such romanticism may be an intellectual form of hyperbole, after all, "what's in a name?"

What's most interesting to me is despite the fact that the name we a re familiar with "Leonid Elenin" is a linguistic Romanization of a name that originally is written in another language and alphabet; yet many insist on attributing almost prophetic meaning to it based on how it translates into our 'English": Extinction Level Event NINe. Far be it from me to argue with the inclinations of others, as is their choice and right to discuss, but this seems a bit of a coincidental synchronicity of translation with creative deductive supposition.

Now, having said this, once the issue of a relationship with the Sumerian, Macedonian, and Babylonian mythos is established, you can be certain that Kabbalistic and Zoroastrian allusions will follow. Especially int he numerological sense. Also there are - within the etymology of the derived names interesting connections with key characters and characteristics in the interplay of mythos and legend.

All of these can contribute to our interest in dissecting this scenario and our inclination to attribute end-time/prophetic significance to the comet. All of this is to say that whether you wish to expect the worst, or best, or nothing, this study is not empty, nor devoid of consequential meaning.

Three months prior to the announcement of the the discovery of Comet C/2010 X1, the US government published a document showing their intent to formally develop a framework to handle the detection and response to near Earth objects, including those which my actually impact the Earth.... the stage was set at that point for the next "discovery" to be scrutinized in that light. Opening the theoretical notion that a psyop was in play.

All of this, I think, explains the fascination and scrutiny the comet has received.

The ESA is doing feasibility studies, not actually preparing for such a mission.

The first, second, and third prize winners in The Planetary Society's Apophis Mission Design Competition shared a similar approach to solving the tracking challenge: send an instrumented orbiter to rendezvous with the asteroid and analyze its surface and shape up close. Once the initial survey period is complete, the orbiter would position itself in a stable orbit, after which radio tracking of the spacecraft from Earth would provide the necessary precision of the measurements of Apophis' position. The proposers did not consider it sufficient just to track the asteroid, skipping any initial survey, because, they argued, Apophis' shape and surface properties produce important influences on its future orbit due to the Yarkovsky effect.

I am new to ATS but have been following the 'Elenin' posts for quite some time. I am truly interested in seeing this comet on the Stereo images, but likely due to my inexperience in interpreting the data, have not been able to identify it. Has anyone actually seen Elenin on Stereo B after August 15? The stereo site says it should be visible, but I have had no luck spotting it.

If you have seen it, would you mind posting a picture of it from Stereo B? Please and thanks!

When all this hype about Elenin began I contacted the British Astronomical Association and asked about the comet because of all the conflicting information that is being put out and this is the reply i received:

"It is quite possible that we won't even see comet Elenin! It is a fairly small comet and it might not survive perihelion. CCD imagers are recording it as a near stellar object, a little fainter than initial predictions. In any case the closest it gets to the Earth is 0.23 AU, so cannot affect us.

A rather more promising comet, at least for visual observation is comet Garradd, which may be a binocular or naked eye object for several months from the autumn onwards."

Looks like the BAA were correct.

Youre wrong on YU55 passing between the Earth & Moon. Its due to pass to the right of the Earth and Moon and above the ecliptic plane.
