Since misanthropic remarks are everywhere on the internet, I’ll stick to humorous ones....

I got my red panties on and I'm ready to go to work.

Guess when the bad cops go away, or they find a way to clean the ranks, cop bashing will be gone. Meanwhile, try to not step in front of a LEO, maybe nothing, but you may end up dead, beaten or arrested for no apparent reason(as has been shown here over and over...)

Sorry Oz.....This is why there is constant,or so called "COP BASHING".. I prefer to call it dereliction of duty. I would like to state that there are good LEO's . The majority of them are good.Lets face it people. But its becoming abundantly clear that the LEO's of the world are abusing their status,at an alarming rate. They should be held to higher morals and principles. They should also be treated to harsher justice,if they fail to abide by the laws that they take an OATH on.

Heres example after example after example. These are the ones that were caught. How many havnt been????
Who is Policing the Police??????

Snip-it of August 16,United States.

Baltimore MD cop sentenced to 17yrs prison on manslaughter and firearm violation charges for shooting an unarmed Iraq war vet to death outside a nightclub while drunk because he pinched a woman’s butt that he was with. [0] (link tracking not allowed)/rcAoYm

Norfolk VA police are being sued by the wife of a police recruit who died after receiving several blows to the head during police self-defense training [0] (link tracking not allowed)/qRHiFU

2 Ottawa ON cops are under investigation after a woman who called police to help a man she found asleep on the sidewalk accused them of using excessive force on that 50-year-old homeless man when they slammed him face-first onto the pavement without cause, resulting in facial fractures. She also claims the police tried to cover it up. [3] (link tracking not allowed)/qHT3PW

Athena OR cop was sentenced to 115 months, almost 10 years, for child pornography & sexual crimes against a 15yr-old girl [0] (link tracking not allowed)/qWXd94

Please follow the link to see why its becoming more prevalent on so called "bashing" on LEO'S. For those doing their duty,I salute you.

Star and Flag for bring this to ATS's attention.

So it was cool that the cops just stood there watching while the other beat Rodney King? So it was just police being police when 2 fellow cops watch one arrest a woman who is video taping them from her front yard even though she broke no law? This has nothing to do with muslims.

Did I say that? Read my OP carefully. I never denied that there were bad cops, at all.....so go read agin

No it doesnt, but Im simply comparing your generalisation of cops to another group of people. If you claim that all cops are bad, then it seems you could apply your assumptions to any group wether it be religous or othwerwise. All Im saying is that judging an individual by the actions of others, is unfair.

You might have missed this story and just recently.

www.dailymail.co.uk...
www.abovetopsecret.com...

There are no absolutes, very few of them anyway.

Oh so he buys one kid some cookies he is a good cop? That is absolute proof that he has never seen a fellow cop brake the law or when he did he intervened instantly. He has never ever done anything bad himself. He is a saint...

Cops are not all bad, in fact most are great.
The bad cops and even bad precincts have so much power whatever they do it reflects hugely on all other cops.
Some cops have taken their authority too far and it just pushes an envelope and allows others to push it that much farther and this envelope must stop getting shoved along since people are getting to the ends of their patience and respect. There will be Marial Law soon because there will HAVE to be.

Hating cops is misanthropic in my view. You hate enemies. If COPS are your enemy, it is time for an upheaval or an exodus. You don't just sit still whining and take this up the bum.

Cops are all bad. Even the "good cops" are just as bad as the rotten ones when they stand behind the thin blue line with them. They are just as guilty when they dont stop their fellow cops from violating peoples rights or plain out commiting crimes. If you are people cops are your enemy.

I will agree their is a prevalence of silence, when it comes to covering up crimes internally. But to say EVERY cop is bad, well I cant buy that one bit. I know good cops.Ones that would say their mind, and not cover up a crime.Whoever it may be. If things are bad,the "people" need to change the laws......

Infact you did.

If you havent realised, police arent responsible for policing their own, thats why they have internal affairs,

"Excuse me is this IA. I'm standing here with my partner beating some guy sensless. Could you perhaps come over to maybe like stop him or something?". IA investigates matters after a fact. Who then is responsible for enforcing laws on the streets? If it's not cops as you say and it's not IA then who?

Try hitting more close to what is actually talked about. I generalize and say all terrorist are bad. That is correct and exactly the same as saying all cops are bad. If I said all americans were bad then I'd be generalizing like you think.

No I didnt

Quote from my OP

Now dont get me wrong, I understand that there are bad cops....its obvious. Some do take their power for granted, and use it excessively, and in many cases, their actions are unwarranted. These cops should be exposed, and in my opinion, taken out of the police force altogether, particularly when it involves someone being harmed.

Would you like to take that back?

Soon as you can figure out the quote function I will have a better idea of what you are trying to relate. Meanwhile I think you should understand that hating "cops" per se is just like hating the French, white people or women or boyscouts or Muslims. Bashing. Nonsensical, illogical, blindly wildly swinging at anything that moves... bashing.

Sorry my friend but that's BS. My old man, tough sob that he is, was in the RCMP for 37 years. Not just because of his job but because of the man he is, he is a man of honor. He busted out bad cops. One in particular didn't know who I was and was giving me static for no good reason. I told Dad about this incident and he was gone. I'm sure it wasn't just my witness of this bad behavior but he handled it. I've known MANY cops, most are damn fine people and damn fine officers. YOU may not see any action taken by any given police force but it is there.

Proved wrong twice now psykops

Its pretty obvious that the real "cop haters" have no idea at all about what really goes on behind closed doors within LEO and the argument is all based on assumption. Thanks for posting intrepid

And did I make myself clear with my reply.

Police as an instution has failed...

I can apply that same generalization if someone during WW2 joins SS or someone these days joins a terrorist organization. I never said that the entire faith is somehow bad. Infact you can pretty much make the difference between the good ones and the bad ones by that standard.

I call BS. Your old man busted one guy for harassing a family member? Yeah that's a mark of a fine officer right there. Now how many times did he cover for his corrupt officers in comparison?

Nice try at misdirection

Read back on what u said...you accused me of lying....I proved you wrong

Man up....admit it

And I like how you omitted this part of your argument

All cops are bad cops. There is no such thing as a good cop.

Keep digging

He didn't and wouldn't. I know him. I know the people he worked with. I even had a job at the detachment washing cars. Played baseball with them. Guess what? They are people. Btw, who are you going to call if your cameras were stolen? The Girl Guides? I hope the cookies weren't the mint ones. I HATE the mint ones.

I think the problem is we EXPECT criminals to act like criminals. We EXPECT officers to do the EXACT opposite. Whenever they go against their duty, you are going to get those people who are outraged. Thats not cop bashing per say.Thats the average citizen who is disgusted, that LEO's covered up their misguided criminal acts. Guess what? Most LEO's who find themselves in a criminal investigation, get to sit behind a desk, and still get paid, while the investigation moves on. More injustice. That being said, the Laws need to change. Look at Mexico. 2/3 of the police are on the Drug dealers take. Is that injustice? Is it Cop bashing to tell people this?

So because you think your dad is a good clean cop that must be true?
If my cameras get stolen I will take the details to the civillian clerks who work behind the counters. They at least dont have a thin blue line to hide behind.

Well, im not a cop, but from my understanding internal affairs is repsonsible for investigating complaints against LEO.

And what about before....you still accused me of lying and I proved you wrong...why do u keep avoiding that fact?
