Mt, Etna Volcano Blowing Smoke Rings

Volcano blows spectacular smoke ring. A rare phenomenon, where a visible vortex ring of steam and gas is expelled from a volcanic vent. Under special conditions, gas and steam expelled from a vent can form gas rings.

Pretty cool.
You could be forgiven for thinking this is beyond natural phenomena.
Strange how the cloud travels in the opposite direction to the rest of the clouds and (apparently) the prevailing wind.
Also the glow is kinda eerie too.

Indeed it is amazing - that Etna footage inspired me to create this video over a year ago showing a collection of natural (and a few unnatural) toroidal vortices.
