My first thought - "ATS NOOOOOOO!!!!!" I am completely relieved that wasn't legit. Well, that Perry got that much support. It was still cool that even in a satirical poll Ron Paul dominates.

I was about to stab myself after reading the results in the opening paragraph I must have skipped over the "disassociated press" because I was so excited to see the results of this sites poll.

My concern is now this headline can be used by other MSN agencies. ATS has rules such as manners and decorum so as not to adversely affect ATS’s reputation when people use search engines. As much of a good joke this thread is, any news agency putting together internet poles from various sites can and will reference this headline stating Rick Perry was #1.

Yes it’s funny but come on guys you potentially shot Ron Paul in the face…

Overstretching it a bit, as far as seo, but yes, thread titles are quite deceiving often times. We clearly know how some people look at a title and run with it, often times neglecting the content of the thread. This has been displayed a few times in this thread already, whereas people couldn't tolerate to spend 1 minute reading the post before making their marks in the thread.

Truth is, once it becomes more evident to ATS users that it was a joke thread, Perry will just become more of a joke.

It was a great laugh, and the pros outweigh the cons here. So, I don't see any real harm either way.
