Hold on 3 seconds. There's a bright spot moving through the video, other than the bright thing flashing off to the side. Would that not be Mercury? Or is there some other planet between Mercury and the Sun?

Thanks for the info Phage, 1 more question, is that the camera adjusting position every day when we see the white flare across the image for a few frames?

Yes. That's the period (08:00-10:00) when the spacecraft was rolled to image C/2010 X1. That happens sometimes during a roll maneuver, I don't know why.

Here's a snapshot I took from solar monitor, 16-8-2011. Pretty big burst IMO

I see no "big burst" in that image. Just regular (in fact, rather unimpressive) solar activity, including a relatively minor flare in the upper left.

Ok. Thanks for the info. I've been using solar monitor for a while just to view images, but I admit I'm relatively new when it comes to discerning major activity from standard operation. Still getting a feel for things. Appreciate the reply.

Truly major flare and CME events can be the size of the Sun, itself.
Take this, for example:

Wow. That's an intense picture. When u consider our size relative to earth, and earths size relative to the sun, makes u realize how small and insignificant we are on the grand scale of thing. Awesome pic
