For those thinking it was about London UK, you are a bit mistaken this is about London, Ontario Canada, a place that is about an hour and thirty from me.

Windsor has high unemployment rates due to the issues with the automakers in turn when Detroit was hit, they took Windsor and its outlying suburbs along with it. Now London is feeling the pinch, it seems that South Western Ontario a once mighty hub of automaking is starting to feel the softening demand of manufacturing.

London's unemployment rate is 9.1% with an estimated metro population of about 450,000 its nearly at 45000 unemployed compared to Windsor at 8% another high place of unemployment is Oshawa at nearly the same rate as Windsor. Oshawa is home to GM.

I think it is a trend in Southern Ontario and seeing places like Linemar most recently Skyjack in Guelph, is very telling of a softening manufacturing market but they been doing this on and off for the past few years.
