One last comment. This is an invasion of privacy, however upon some thought I can see why they are doing this(i don't condone it). It would seem that child porn viewers are going to heavely used wifi hotspots. So,currently if some dude is downloading childporn they can trace only so far to the ip. If it happens to be a free wifi zone and 20+ people are all on and downloading crap, they can't just start searching everybodys computers. This device however can pinpoint where the data streams are going from the wifi hotspot to the precise computer recieving the information. Either by triangulation(more precise) or a device mac address(which can be spoofed).

If this tech was outside the average joes ability it would be much creepier, but with a pentium 2 and a software application you can do the same for thousands less. Heck, anyone that lives near a nerd is most likely getting data logged in some way.

I may be wrong but I would have thought the pedos would be smarter than transferring child porn over WiFi (especially non-encrypted WiFi).

This just smells like another level of invasion of privacy. Its becoming similar to anti-semitism: if you criticise a Jewish person you risk being labelled a Nazi. Now the authorities can say its to stop Child Porn and no-one can shout it down or be labelled a Pedophile.

This leads down to the Ironic side actually. They are busy tracking people who download Child Porn while at the same time their agents in the Pentagon are looking at Child Porn. Remember last year the reports about government agents at the Pentagon caught with Child Porn on their computers? What happened to them? Nothing!

This new tracking for CP on private networks and computers sounds like a tracking system for finding out who is against the government. As Bush said a few years ago. People that speak out against the government will be deemed Domestic Terrorists. And what will those FEMA camps be used for? Domestic Terrorists!!

Sounds a bit too coincidental to me. Yes or No! Or do u think I am barking up the wrong tree?!

Speaking of entrapment . . . that show "To Catch a Predator" used to really piss me off.

Honestly.... Not that I would ever even come close to having a picture of anyone under the age of consent in my state on my computer posing or in any lewd form.... If your gonna download crap like that... who would be such an idiot enough to do it over an open connection? I mean really....

Sweet maybe some hackers can use this technology against TPTB and hack into evidence showing they have Child pornography. (*coughs pentagon officials *coughs*) Not to mention Corey Feldman's testimony on hollywood.

I mean if this serves as a breach in privacy to us the same could be done vice versa to them.

sooner or later this will become a loop hole and crash the system. Imo they are building their own graves.

It's hilarious because it's how so many get taken down and put away but recall how many news stories about kiddie porn busts include the seizure of completely legitimate credit card records these pervs use to buy into the places that host the trash.

If the worst of society were intelligent, the rest of us might really be in some trouble.

Easy way to beast that, most use SKIN tone colour and percentage coverage to determine whether it is a naked person in the pic.

So setup lots of open wifi routers with SKIN coloured ANIMALS pictures constantly being sent over it.

Try National Geographic website

ATS users are so paranoid it's quite funny. if you're foolish enough to leave your network open and you have illegal content then you completely deserve whatever happens.
