History in the geological record also suggests that the earth was very hostile not too long ago with mega volcanoes that would darken the earth for years as well as mega earthquakes that shook it continually.

But here we are again.

Could you provide sources to this claim?

Well son, you must google most of this yourself.

Here is just one example. The Toba incident.

Tremendous amounts of rock and ash were ejected into the air, blocking the sun for months. The temperature around the globe was thought to have plummeted as much as 21 degrees. Man was pushed to the edge of extinction , the population forced down to just a couple of thousand. Perhaps as much as 75% of plant life on the North American continent may have died out.

Well son
, I know that there have been events such as Toba, but your claim about being shaken continually would be regional; at best, son.

I know how to 'google'/'bing' etc, but
I was more interested in your claims and why you would say that...

"Son" lol.

Shadow your running into what I call (sorry I cannot remember the actual name) 'Time viewing distortion', you are looking at natural disasters and not precieving the amount of the time they are separated by and the limited effect they have on the earth as a whole.

Natural disasters happen but they don't happen all the time nor do they wipe out 'civilizations' each time they occur. It took thousands of years for the Sahara to dry up, the sea levels to rise, the mega faua to disappear.

Sorry Han you are wrong yet again. Its becoming a habit for ya.

Fact: man has almost been wiped off the planet in past.

Fact: Man has been on this planet in different forms for over 1 million years.

Fact: The Ice Age happened. The ice melted. Ice= Water. Earth's oceans rose over 124 meters. No one said it happened over night.

Fact: Ancient sites are being found that push accepted belief as to when man became \evolved\ enough to be considered modern.

Gobekli Tepe is said to have been most likely erected by hunter-gatherers in the 10th millennium BC.

Athiests....sigh.

You must learn much before engaging in proper duscussions concerning these topics.

A mega volcano is anything but 'regional'. Its global. Google it, my child.

Mega-tsunamis are anything but regional. Google that too.

I recommend reading indian/native lore from around the world. There are hundreds of written and vocal stories that should shed some light in the darkness of that mind. Start there.

That's the theory but it hasn't been 'proven'

Fact: The Ice Age happened. The ice melted. Ice= Water. Earth's oceans rose over 124 meters. No one said it happened over night.

Then why do you seem to think it wiped out civilizations? Both contentions cannot be right

Fact: Ancient sites are being found that push accepted belief as to when man became \evolved\ enough to be considered modern.

Yes, you got one right

Gobekli Tepe is said to have been most likely erected by hunter-gatherers in the 10th millennium BC.

There about but ony 5% of the site has been examined

As usual your post doesn't make much sense

{redacted}. And I say that with all due respect.
{redacted}...

I have in my possession a book called "Hostile shores:
catastrophic events in prehistoric New Zealand and their impact on Maori coastal communities" which ties Maori mythology with the physical evidence (such as Taniwha in Kaikoura being associated with earthquakes and subsequent tsunami deposits), so I am aware of the potential for mythology to be used positively as another tool for determining past events. However, it's not as simple as linking a with b.
I am also aware of the impacts of volcanic eruptions and long term outgassing, such as the Deccan Traps. Fortunately we have not had anything like that (on that scale) during the development of Homo sapiens sapiens

Fortunately, mega tsunami aren't global, despite you claiming they are. They are regional at best and sometimes even local (e.g. Lituya Bay). Even the Chixulub/Shiva event did not cause a global tsunami, but the effects of the event were global.

You have much to learn before engaging in discussions of this nature.

If a massive super volcano erupted right now, with around seven billion people living upon the earth,it would be truly horrifying and beyond the ability of most people to actually comprehend just how severe, life shattering and environmentally altering it would actually be and unlike in the past, just about everything that we depend upon now is interconnected, wired together and a domino effect of several types of disasters would be unleashed, reaching far beyond the immediate effects of the super eruption itself and literally billions of helpless people would die and the shell shocked survivors would be suddenly hurled back into the stone age and be reduced to living like cavemen,again...

blocula, seriously learn about an amazingly old technique called the 'period'. Yes a super volcano would be a disaster but the people who would, in your words, retreat to the caves would take their modern technology with them......ceramics, plastics, refined metals, glass and jewely and guess what is NOT found in excavation of caves, excavations covering hundreds of thousands of years ..........yeah you guess it right, all that stuff. What is found is stone, bone and shells....

Immediately following any major world wide natural disaster, almost incomprehensible horrors like super volcanic eruptions, axis tilts, asteroid strikes,or whatever else, our materialistic toys that seem to mean so much to us now, would quickly fade into obscurity,as the shell shocked survivors struggled to aquire proper food, shelter and clothing,as well as trying to fight off disease, wild animal attacks, the weather, bodily injury and roaming bands of other survivors and those who did live through a global cataclysm, would probably at first be reduced and reverted into a mad max, road warrior type of existence and then ultimately, deteriorate themselves even further backwards into a prehistoric way of life, thats what would most likely happen...

I am depressed thinking that you would think that 'advanced' means "plastics, refined metals, glass and jewely".

You need to learn the old technique called 'period'. We are in a different age old feller, iron, copper, stone, pertroleum. you know.

He said "modern" not "advanced". What's your definition of advanced technology anyway?

What technique?? Have you a link to this?

Actually I said modern - not to good at this accuracy thing eh? However..

Advanced is not defined, but if you had been reading blocula's musings forawhile, like I have, you'd know he meant an 'advanced' culture like ours, which has that sorta stuff.

Gee, blocula more word salad - oh have you gone to this style of no periods, no spaces after a comma, to hide the fact you are copying and posting your old postings? lol

reverted into a mad max, road warrior type of existence and then ultimately, deteriorate themselves even further backwards into a prehistoric way of life, thats what would most likely happen

Excellent blocula you've taken on my suggestion to include film in your ideas, very good. Now the only problem is that there wouldn't be a 'mad-max' scenario, care to look up how much gasoline/diesel is on hand in any modern country? How many weeks, or months will it last until it is used up.....

into a prehistoric way of life

nah just back to hunting and gathering with subsistence farming, the 'pre-historic' had no modified grains nor domesticated animal, like corn, these folks would. You might want to research what our maize, rice, potatoes and wheat came from and how it wasn't a great source to 'cave men'....until 'domesticated'.

thats what would most likely happen

No evidence that has ever happened in the past and a highly unlikely event anyways, you really don't understand human culture do you?

Word salad? then how else am i suppose to express myself, with numbers?

Lets see how that works...

4576 823 86 770 5 288756 957 243 09 4 38 60887978 224 1 678...

Not so good, huh?

Never mind the erased and annihilated and now extinct civilizations who existed here upon earth around 25,000 to 50,000 years ago...

What about civilizations of technologically advanced humans living many millions of years ago? thats where the real mystery exists and the real reason for the truth being intentionally kept out of the mainstream limelight, then ruthlessly hushed up,ridiculed and eliminated...

Believe me,we've done this all before,a very long time ago...

The following links provide frightening truths, mind bending, faith shattering revelations, truly fantastic realities that should not be ignored and should never be denied...
