I am having some kind of mid life crisis I think.
I used to be heavily into graphic novels and comics,but when I became an adult.I sort of reluctantly curtailed the habit.
Anyway,I have relapsed in a big way and have been buying loads of graphic novels lately.
Wow how they have developed since I last bought any in the early 90's!

If anyone on ATS is a fan of graphic novels,please tell me your recommended favorites.

My all time favorite is "Slaine The Horned God"

But I also loved the new Slaine "Books Of Invasions"-I used to love 2000ad comic,which these come from.The artwork and story are awesome IMO.

And "The Walking Dead"series is a cracker-read the first 10 books in one weekend,now I sit round cursing them to write the next episode faster!
www.amazon.co.uk...=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1313423856&sr=8-6

"Locke and Key" is also a great new series,sort of a haunted house/lovecraft type deal.
www.amazon.co.uk...=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1313423895&sr=1-3

So anyone got any more I should get hold of?
I don't mind color or black and white,as long as the story and artwork is good.

Cheers!

Hmm,looks like a rare one that.
Outta print I rekon.
Book 7 is going from £26 on Amazon,2nd hand!
They are awful like that when stuff goes outta print,prices rocket.
One to look out for in the 2nd hand bookshop.
I have a buddy in one shop who keeps comics aside for me to buy,so maybe one day.

Outbreak Outbreak starts 10 years after Aliens and Alien 3, and 190 years before Alien Resurrection. Both Wilks and Billie have been struggling with the aftermath of their encounter with the Xenomorphs. Billie is in a mental institution, and, after nothing seems to help her, the doctors decide to wipe her memory. Wilks has never gotten over the Aliens and the decimation of his squad, so he agrees to go on a mission to the alien homeworld to recover some eggs and to destroy one of the hives (the hive-destroying serves no purpose other than to satisfy Wilks's hatred). Wilks goes to visit Billie before he goes, only to find out that her memory is about to be wiped. Wilks believes Billie to be the only thing that marks his existence and the only thing that marks his squad's sacrifice, so he rescues her and takes her to the homeworld. Their spaceship is followed by another, though...

My first and still my all-time favorite: Neil Gaiman's Sandman series.

Rising Stars and Midnight Nation from J. Michael Straczynski follow at a close second.

Holly Graphic novels SkorpiogurI!
I read the novel a year or so back,by Dean koontz,
Excellent story,I won't spoil it by telling the tale,but you know.

And I picked up a copy of "Odd is on our side"at the shop-and thought it was a novel-I didn't read the back!!
I was happy to find it was a graphic novel.

Good old Odd Thomas and his saucy girlfriend.
Cracking tales.

Yes! I love Deant Koontz writing anyway and especially the Odd Thomas Series

I used to love the Ann Rice Vamp Chronicals as well, until they ruined it with the movie
But this was a graphic novel as well:

www.amazon.com...

Only thing good about the movie in my opinion was the music: Jonathan Davis and Disturbed
