That is true and my response was poorly worded. What about laws that state murders can't profit from their crimes? Do you believe this is against the 1st amendment?

Thanks for that response. For some reason, movie violence doesn't bother me. In response to your question of why I posted the link - I only said I recommended not watching it. I am not against the posting of the video itself. I hope I have not indicated I feel that this should not be allowed?

a. no one is making you watch videos, so if they are too graphic for you do not watch them.

b. it is good to see these sorts of things. war is disgusting all the more reason to avoid war.

c. there are no rules in war. to think you can control every humans actions very is silly no matter how big or how small the action. war = war. war is disgusting and terrible.

as always it is easier to destroy than create..

If you feel you must watch a video such as this you should ask yourself some questions first. Would I have wanted to watch this video when I was 3 years old? (Probably not.) When I was 7 or 8? ((Maybe, but probably not.) I would argue that most people, as young, innocent humans would not want to see this and if they had, nightmares and more would have likely followed. Now, You are all grown up. If you truly want to watch this even more than once you should ask yourself why? How does this video speak to you? If you only see it once and you are not troubled by it, why aren't you? What changed in your head between the years of your innocent youth and now? What do you think your reaction should be now, as an adult? DO you urgently want to share it with others so you can witness their reactions, too? The reaction of a healthy, balanced mature mind is clear for all to see. I don't need to write about it for you. If your reaction is not such a reaction, again, ask yourself why not? Followed by : What-if anything- are you going to do about it? A "proper" human knows EXACTLY where to stand with each of these questions. Each one is completely responsible for his or her own actions/reactions short of a mental disease. For us to evolve as a species we must acknowledge we have been capable of this sort of behavior and we must do everything within us to to rid our species of the conditions which give rise to actions such as these. It is a doable thing.Lastly, would a very old person want to watch this video? I seriously doubt it. Why not? Even if they went through a phase in their lives where they could loop it iver and over, by the time they become old, they lose all interest in watching anything of the sort. Why?
It should be a crime of the highest order to ever teach another human to hate.

they are avail. thats why people get busted for child porn. all kinds of videos are available for view/purchase on the internet...if you know where to look. just because a person can't put "sex with 4 yr old" into the search box on YouTube and have pages of videos pop up doesn't mean it isn't out there.

also...it isn't illegal to watch a video of some extremists brutally hacking up a person. however, it is VERY illegal to watch a person have sexual encounters with a person under the age of 18. thus those videos are harder to come by and not as easy to find.

I could have my hard drive filled with videos of Taliban executing Afghani policemen with AK-47s, Chechnias slitting throats of young Russians, Al-Qida beheading journalist or Nazis gassing and burning Jews, but if I had just one video of a person doing something sexual with a minor (which is horribly disgusting) then i'm looking at hardcore jail time.

Well, in the meantime, I'll take some pleasure in the knowledge that those who rejoice in pain and destruction often have a very hard time breeding when the other person has a choice. Making passing on this lovely trait harder.

As many have already stated, it may be horribly disturbing to see things like this, but I cannot condone censoring the gruesome truth of reality.

I personally do not watch death videos, it causes far too much sadness and discomfort. But to censor them is almost literally hiding skeletons in the closet, and dishonesty or ignoring the truth is always worse than sadness and disgust.

No. Not at all. I was not implying that was the point of this thread.


However, I was implying that creating more hatred (adding more fuel to the already existent fire), could have been the intentions, or true agenda, of those who made this video, and/or those who got this video online. Possibly with hopes that it would go 'Viral,' and in turn causing even more hatred and violence.


I am not a professional video analyst. Well, I'm not even an amateur. Based on that, no matter how 'real' something appears to be, I try not to jump to any conclusions. I will admit, yes, this video did appear to be real, but personally, I do not know that for sure.

I believe you are correct there - that is why this video was shot. The men who did it had no other reason than propaganda. Now, as stated in the OP, there was a video of notoriety shot by the same guys three years earlier. Same stuff. Russia Channel 2 AIRED this footage live! It definately stoked the flames of hatred. It is public record and it may have been made for the purposes you say.

That is mostly all that has been going on throughout history actually, if you open your history book to any random page.

We are trying to overcome our irrational brutality, not become slaves to it.

I personally will not be executing anyone ever, not in this manner. I prefer to believe I am at least 1 or 2% civilized and therefore capable of saying no to atrocities and pure evil. I will not take part in it.

If you must, shoot me in the head. Kill me first, because I will never accept evil. I would much rather accept death.

I once watched a video very similar to this a while back. It was a video of 2 ethnic Russians beheading two Russian Muslims and man it was nasty. I was like 15 years old, and come to think of it, The idea of having these kind of videos on the internet for everyone to see is kind of a scary thought.
Heck, there are websites solely dedicated to these kind of videos....Mad world.

I felt this video, as it is a fictionalized account, would be ok to put up. It too is disturbing, which again, does not equate to mean I don't think it should be pulled.

Pretty brutal, and such is the fate of many who are captured in any real war.

When it comes to such videos I am of two minds.

One most people should not see this since its pretty brutal and it would give them nightmares.

But the second part is that more people should see things like this, especially the ignorant and the sheeple and well fed, to get them to grasp some of the realities of not only war, but what some people are like and what some things are like. Because they are, some times indirectly and unknowing contributors to some of what goes on. So people what do you think happens in war?

But definitely there are some kids hanging around ats and they should not see such videos.
Because op like you said there are some disturbing vids out there, I remember also in the soviet region, some brutal vids I saw some years ago, one was of some racist group who killed a couple of people by the slow method of cutting off there head with a blunt knive in the woods.

And the other was of a serial killer I think who video taped his victims in a before and after type of thing, one part was like a interview and the second it was even worse then this vid your talking about, basically poor victims really ended up as minced meat.

So yes I think there should be some sort of real disclaimer going on the net to limit these vids, but if all bury there head in the sand on such things and are not aware then most likely it will just be more prevalent that such things will happen.

So op as you can see I am of two minds about such things.
