I Saw Something I Wish I Hadn’t
AS A DISCLAIMER: I will NOT post the YOUTUBE version of the video. Part of the OP has information from Liveleak.com, where the video can be seen, in
addition to the story.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT WATCH IT.
As I write this, I am feeling sick. I feel sad, angry at the people I just watched, and anger at myself for watching. I am immune to most things on
the internet. I have seen quite a bit. Never, could I have imagined this horror.
That is, never could I not only imagine the scene itself, but I can’t imagine how we got to this point where anyone can get on the internet and see
this.
In my time, Faces of Death, a series of movies that purported to show various “deaths” was hugely controversial. Most of the footage was so
obviously staged and faked (at least for the first few) compared to what is available for viewing now, Faces of Death is like the Andy Griffith
Show.
I started wondering about the decency laws on the internet, and how we got to the point where various .coms, including youtube, can show videos of
villagers burning suspected witches alive, vigilante justice in Guatemala or the Philippines, war videos depicting various Apache strikes, the
beheading videos from Iraq, Narco terrorists in Mexico torturing victims to music, etc…what happened?
I am pretty vociferous in my defense of the 1st amendment, but I think something is wrong with being able to profit from murder videos, as ultimately
the sites that show them do. I hope some of you can weigh in on the subject because this is one I feel falls under the catalog of “obscene”.
Surprisingly, most of the decency and obscenity laws cover pornography. Violent acts are hardly mentioned in here:
The Communications Decency Act of 1996 (CDA) was the first notable attempt by the United States Congress to regulate pornographic material on the
Internet. In 1997, in the landmark cyberlaw case of Reno v. ACLU, the United States Supreme Court struck the anti-indecency provisions of the
Act.

Regarding obscenity, here is what I found.
In a legal context, the term obscenity is most often used to describe expressions (words, images, actions) of an explicitly sexual nature. The
word can be used to indicate a strong moral repugnance, in expressions such as "obscene profits", "the obscenity of war", etc. It is often replaced by
the word salaciousness.

Now. Here is a description of the circumstances in the video:
Chechnya War/Border of Dagestan - 1999
A group of rebel Chechens, led by Salautdin Temirbulatov crossed into the Republic of Dagestan, in an attempt to rout out the occupying Russian
forces. Temirbulatov's group came across a village being defended by a sparse group of 13 Russian conscripts. Upon realizing they were greatly
outnumbered, 7 of the soldiers fled, while the remaining 6 continued to fight. Once they had run out of ammunition, they surrendered themselves into a
promised POW status.
First of, Salautdin Temirbulatov was known for, and eventually sentenced to life in prison, for his role for filming the murder of four Russian
soldiers in 1996.
That “primer film” one very famous video, "chechclear", was shot in 1996 at the end of the first Chechen War.
Clad in fatigues and a beret, the Chechen commander laughs, kicks one prostrate Russian soldier, waves a pistol in the air, then steps up to a
kneeling soldier and shoots him in the head.
Salautdin Temirbulatov, 41, was convicted and sentenced to life in prison Thursday on evidence created by his own men: an April 1996 videotape of him
executing the soldier, Sergei Mitryayev.

Going back, three years after chechclear, some 250 militants overrun 13 Russian conscripts on the border with Dagestan. Seven Russians escape in the
woods, but after being promised no harm, the other six, who had run out of ammunition, surrendered to Termibulatov.
What transpires next, and what is recorded on video, shows the most base, animalistic and disgusting scenes humans can see.
I am going to post the transcript from the film – at least part of it. If this description does not discourage you from watching the video nothing
will.
Kid laying on the grass ....
Chechen with the knife "Turn around"
Kid moves abit sideways ..
Chechen off camera "LAY DOWN!"
Chechen takes the knife out and bends towards the kid ..
I will say one more time this is something no person should see. I have tears in my eyes, crying for humanity. Peace to everyone on this earth.
