Need help with 2.4 GHz wireless "spy" cameras....please

and people are using this stuff, for everything,

baby monitors,
nanny cams,
shop security
...
as an experiment i am trying to get one of these little cams ( and they are TINY !!!)
onto one of those remote helicopters,
for surveying...

wireless mini cams are cool fun,

i just got ripped off by chinese web seller,
who sent me single channel models, rather than the advertisied "4" channel models...

like i said, no hurt feelings...

i cant seem to fit them on the page sorry,
or find anything that is in a set of four, which i presume would be the case,
with 2.7 GHz having four channels...

except in pic two, at bottom (6 o'clock) there is a line of four "transistors"???

any ideas?

In the states here they are selling a tiny helicopter WITH a camcorder to kids of all ages to fly around and upload to YouTube. You should check it out. Its a tiny thing with great quality. Advertising everyday here.

Sorry for the delay. I didn't notice that you had responded. The reason your images are not fitting is because you have to edit them for a max width of 600 pixels. Are you able to do that with the very last image you posted and repost it?

yes , the red (power?) cable came off with all the "tampering" i've done !

With the power disconnected and your meter on ohms, check all of the resistors (black components, the white and brown ones are capacitors) on the chip side of the board for any that are one ohm or less. You are looking for jumpers that control the channel setting.

The safe way to test is to remove a jumper, power the camera up and check for a channel change. Sorry, it's the best I can do for now. It is a very non-typical board and there is not much to go on.

Don't be particularly concerned about salvaging the jumper. You can bridge the pads again with a strand out of a piece of small gauge wire.

There may be the odd jumper for controlling other things such as NTSC/PAL, just FYI.

I'm also concerned that the three other connection pads may be for programming the video processor chip at the factory. I'm hoping not and the resistors in series at each connection suggests otherwise (typically they would be a pullup or pulldown resistor for a comm port but they are not here) but I can't imagine what else the connections would be for.

One other angle to approach this from is to look up the part numbers on the chip and see if you can get a data sheet with a pin out that hopefully shows the channel control pins. I tried this but I'm not sure if that is a two or seven at the second digit. If you can post all of the number sets on the chip I will do another search as well.

I'm also wondering if the three empty connection pads might be for a channel select switch. Again the resistors in series would suggest otherwise but if you get desperate you can try connecting them together in different combinations. Bridging them with a 1K ohm resistor probably won't harm anything.

Did you try finding zero ohm resistors as per the instructions in my last post? Also, could you post the numbers engraved into the main control chip on the transmitter boards?

O my Jesus this is all not necessary at all... If you are having to take apart these things like this then someone lied to you about the wireless capability of the camera's and sent you a single channel probably single band broadcast camera.

Id like to recap though...could you just provide a model number of this product and or name or somewhere it can be identified over the net? Ill look over this for you and tell ya whats up with the product...even an Ebay link.

Id like to know the DVR, the Camera model and such. Sorry for the delayed response.
