Yes I have no moon filter, so that may be it for sure.
The out of focus method is good but if you are patient you can collimate any scope 98% by simply trial and error, and pretty soon you will gain trial and error instinct.
All the collamation tools are rather silly, and just make the manufacturers more money.
If ye have a screwdriver set and perhaps allen key set , just fiddle with th escrews and observe the changes through your eyepiece( a full moon is actually a good time to do this (oops sorry remove eyepiece first and just look down the tube.
If you are a perfectionist then of course collimation tools are good, but nothing beats the nous way.

the answer is no unless you already are one or are genetically predisposed
also, there are many kinds of were-folk by the way, [foxes, cats, etc. ]

oh, and the astronauts that "trod upon the moon" are "no longer under it's power" which is why they didn't change.

Sorry folks , but I ,still haven't grown any bigger hairs, and have not howled anymore, but then again I haven't looked at the Moon for a couple of nights, so far as Iam concerned the question still hasn't been answered.

Thinking of writing to Patrick Moor and asking his opinion , i now get the joke on the Patrick Moore photo, so sorry for my ignorance I was drinking scotch at the time , anf feeling very nervous about the werewolf howl.

Peace to be all, and happy moon gazing it is truly a beautiful sight ,hanging in the sky ,on a silent night, one could imagine ....the wolves on the dark side are taking flight...ready to howl ,ready to bite, at the distant Earth... from which they came.
Hoowl hoowl

Prarie Brewed "Moonshine"?
They say we have lived with wolves since the caveman, perhaps once mating took place?
Not in the copulation sense, but perhaps a cross over of genes via blood ect? or genetic splicing.
Sometimes I think the wolves are howling at the moon, because they are waiting for the rescue ship, its their genetic memory kicking in.

Yes, that's where the term comes from and the full moon does affect some people. Dunno about turning into a werewolf though.

A lot of surgeons won't operate on a full moon because their patients bleed more and I know cops here tend to take sick days on full moons because they know it's going to be a busy night.
