The Sun's dipolar field is about as strong as a refrigerator magnet, or 50 gauss. Earth's magnetic field is 100 times weaker.

spaceweather.com...

Think about it!

There is the possibility of an event called a "super solar flare" which would basically punch a holes in our Ozone layer, and allow radiation to fry our insides.
So less severe solar storms may allow more moderate amounts of radiation into our bodies , perhaps baking our minds?

there is indeed a corelation

but what is making us more sensitive to solar magnetics is the fact we surround ourselves with smaller magnetic fields

and when we get mad, we go out and rob more raditation emiting devices

go figure

Could this be used to institute further levels of control over society?

Consider this: generally speaking we currently allow the government and bodies within it to take control over people who might be a harm to themselves or to others. This is mainly criminals and the mentally ill.

If us 'normal' people can become a threat to ourselves and others due to solar storms, then isn't it the responsibility of the government to take control, in order to protect us?

Iam on your wavelength perhaps.
they say it is possible to send encoded messages direct to the human brain via GPS .
We cannot hear the message nor see it, but somehow they hav efigured out how to communicate with some receiving part of our brain, via satellite.
It could explain serial killers and such like as well as general low level conditioning?

"There isn't a lot of evidence pointing to little green men involving themselves in Earthly affairs"
i know this thread isnt about lil green men.. presumably from space.. but did anyone else find that to be an odd sentence...

Not space storms.

It's the exploding wealth disparity that is driving people mad.

Unless it's a sporting event, riots are often driven by the poor. You won't see middle class or or billionaires rioting in the streets.

Many of the kids in London don't have a future, they have nowhere to go....no jobs available...no way to pay for more schooling...etc.

The IPCC said in a statement today: 'Analysis of media coverage and queries raised on Twitter have alerted us to the possibility that we may have inadvertently given misleading information to journalists when responding to very early media queries following the shooting of Mark Duggan by Metropolitan Police Service officers on the evening of August 4.

Solar flares didn't create the Federal Reserve, or encourage politicians to bleed the taxpayers dry and waste it all on wars and entitlements. So I would say no.

Like I said, not interested in the physics of geomagnetics and it's affects on living creatures, but rather WHY it's being reported by a major news syndicate, and not only that, the article sites ZERO "academics" or any links to studies in this field.

there is evidence sighted by financial analysts and Russian Geophysics journals . even their military journal Ogonok ( equivalent of STRATFOR and FAS) has sighted evidence correlating geomagnetic storms and unrest, earthquakes and natural/technogenic disaster

Maybe we have not evolved yet, but are in the process of evolving to adapt to it, which is what all the stuff going on now is about. We have to learn the hard way.

I have a thought that maybe certain gov. officials used the sun activity as an excuse to Perpetuate their plan at the right time.

Avalanche Control.

Create riots and looting now, so by the time the Olympics come round, all the rioting and looting will be out of the populaces system.

Quite brilliant I think!
