Yes, I've asked questions before about this. It is supposedly a star BUT the photo's I have seen of it DOES NOT SHOW a double star like that.

Go look for yourself

www.google.com/sky

select bottom left hand corner 'constellations'

select far right 'virgo'

select top right 'infra-red'

also

select top right 'microwave' to give you an idea of its light radius...these photos (the OP's youtube vid) seem to confirm it's shape.

Now for the REALLY BIG NEWS

Its also hidden on:

www.wikisky.org
www.sky-map.org
www.worldwidetelescope.org...

And it hidden by an even more precise box on the above sites....

Very strange indeed.

Hmmm. I guess the real question is...are there any other sites which show the same data which it's not hidden?

Given that it's hidden on ALL the sky pic services We have listed in Your post... I have to say that something is up with whatever is out there.

If it was merely one service, I would not think much of it - but ALL of them? Wow.

Thanks for this i totally forgot about google sky.

I find it very interesting that if you go to the exact same place on googlesky and click the historical button there is almost an exact overlap with something that has already been there and already mapped many years ago.

Which is even more strange as the object seen is with the infrared filter, so how did they know about this object back in the day when infrared telescopes and filters hadn't even been invented yet?

ok guys did some browsing about this, and what i was able to understand is if you take the coordinates of that spot on googlesky and cross check in skyview (wth the right configurations) u get those images and what u do is take those images out and merge them in photoshop or whatever and check if they add up or dont, theres a lot stuff around this on youtube just search elenin skyview.

i hope it clears everyone on the subject of where those images come from
