Serious People Are Starting To Realize That We May Be Looking At World War III

We have been looking at WW3 since the end of WW2, but how exactly is a world war defined? There have always been international wars between empires, or blocks of allies. European and Asian history is full of them. Why should we call the 1914-1918 the first world war? In reality we should probably be looking to WW10, but don't think for a second that it will be like any other war before it if it does eventually kick off. The rule book will be completely torn up, too much technology and instant global communications for the old tactics to work the same as they did before.
