Your tax money would be used on this with or without the cross. The cross is no more than an exhibit to any non religious people so really there is no sense in arguing. If it has held attention this long it deserves a place in the museum. As I said before atheists can just think of it as "an original piece of the wtc" and find something else to complain about.

I won't pretend to tell you what to believe, or say that whatever you believe is wrong.

But what would the reaction be if they put a Muslim moon over that place? Do you think that the Christians would accept that?

1st Amendment, the single most powerful idea we have in this country is the freedom to believe what we want to, and the freedom to not have other religions shoved down our throats at every waking moment.
