First wrote this three years ago, I was laughed at on Conan O'Brian's site, this post was deleted on Hannity.com, and most of the political sites I posted on just said I was crazy.

How many of you have looked around the world today and wondered why we put up with so much? Why do we allow the government to take our money and use it for frivolous things? Why do we allow them to take away our freedoms and make us into slaves to the state? Why do we so willingly sacrifice what this country was founded on to satiate some Fat Politician in D.C.?

Today in America we have No Justice, no freedom, no privacy. We can not punish our children for disobedience for fear of being told we are abusing our children. We are not allowed to punish our Animals for fear that some animal activist is going to scream Animal Abuse! You are almost afraid to walk out of you house in just shorts for fear someone will scream indecent exposure or rape in some states. You can’t even hug a friend for fear that someone will take offense. One cannot even read their e-mail without the possiblility that Big Brother is Watching.

Today in America you can no longer live without fearing what you neighbors might see or say. You can no longer know if the person living beside you is a safe person to know. Everyone is suspect. What they might do to you?

If a person looks at the past when the First American Revolution took place, the laws that had been passed by Parliament, such as the Townshend Act and The Stamp Act, were what first spurred some of Americas Greatest Hero’s. Ben Franklin, Sam Adams, James Otis and Patrick Henry all spoke out against the excesses of Government. One major reason people do not speak out is Fear. They are afraid the Government is going to quash what they say. That it will arrest them for Treasonous actions. They fear the punishment. Where there is No Justice, there is No Courage.

Americans are Cowards. They are scared to get up off their butts and take a stand. They are afraid of the consequences. They want everyone else to do it. Americans have been cowed and buffaloed into forgetting one of the first principles in our Constitution. That the Government is For the People By the People. We are the ones who put them in power. We are the ones who can remove them.

Maybe we need a Boston Tea Party type act. Instead of throwing all the Tea off the ships maybe we should get rid of one of the other overly taxed commodities. Corn, Tobacco, or even Gasoline, throw them overboard so to speak. Stop Shipping them, stop buying them, or even get rid of them permanently. That might wake them up. Perhaps we need to all march on Washington and remove the corrupt politician from their seats forcibly if need be.

Too many Americans won’t though, they are too afraid or complacent in their current situations. They are waiting for someone else to solve it for them. They just want everyone else to take it away. They won’t do what is needed. A few hundred thousand descending on D.C. just to stand and block the entire city from operating, then when they arrest allow them to. Every person. The entire city would be bankrupt within a day, in three weeks the country would be bankrupt, but all would have to stand firm and demand speedy trials. Not just sit and wait but fight for them.

Americans need to wake up. Look around you. It is not going to change, it is not going to get better by electing one of the Fools that are currently there. The only way it is going to change is if we all rise up and fight for our freedoms, fight for our country in whatever way possible. Take it back from the Idiots and asinine fools we have given it to.

No one can change this country, but us all. No One man can change any thing, but 10000 can start a movement. No One person can alter what we see around us. No One person can do it all. But 10000 speaking out can change the world. Yes, one person can lead them all, but the others are needed. Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, John Hancock, and all our Founding Fathers needed each other.

Open your eyes people. See the fall of our country around you. See the desecration of our freedoms, see the invasion of foreign armies, see the destruction of the moral fiber and backbone of America. We are lost, our country is dying and we are letting it happen. It is not too late yet. We can still change things. America is no longer the Land of the Free the Home of the Brave. We are now become the Land of the slave and Home of the Coward.

Damn straight!
I agree wholeheartedly.
Your post was very eloquent and right on the money.
Just don't try to use ATS to organize anything. They trashed my post within 5 minutes when I did that. I wonder if there are any other forums like ATS that have a great deal of people who agree with us that allow the site to be used to organize?

I agree, but the revolution should have started on November 22, 1963 when the guilty stole our country.

It was not in 1963 that they took our government. It was in the 1940's with the Japanese internment camps. That would be the official time that we became a police state. Things have been getting worse for our country since that time.

I was just watching 360 and the lady said that Obama has no plans of coming back to DC nor calling congress back. He is going to stay on the campaign trail..just sickening..the lot of them. I DEMAND they come off their vacation and campaigning! As a matter of fact they deserve walking papers.

It's time...revolution is in the air...

While agreed this is needed the last revolutionary war was fought with weapons on an even keel. now our guns would not be up to par with their tanks, bombs, and assimilated army.

I agree that the "evil" started long ago in the USA, we can actually go back to Andrew Jackson. But, when they murdered JFK in broad daylight, in a major city and in front of thousands of people. They placed themselves into the spot they wanted to be, somewhat like a chess game. I am reminded of what RFK said in a speech just a few days before he was wacked, he said something to the effect, "I now fully realise that only the power of the Presidency will reveal the secrets surrounding by brothers death". That's pretty powerful.

I did not even think of the establishment of the fed, but I would have to agree. That would be the full start of the downfall of our country. From that time on our country has just gotten worse. Too many people do let the television determine their thought processes.

I have a friend of mine down the road from me that always argues the point of the MSM. Anytime I point out the lies they tell, he argues that if it is not on the news it is false information. They have the majority convinced that every word they speak is the truth.

When I was in the military, working in Intel, I read how many of the psyops work. I was amazed. It was at that time that I started watching and waiting for the shoe to drop on the American people. It is coming now, and we are passively sitting by and letting it happen. It saddens me that we are not rising up. I have already got my group of friends that are ready when it starts. We are just waiting on the rest of the people to be ready to do their part.

I know it will be no picnic. It will be bad, and only get worse till it ends. Once it is over, however, if all goes well the world will be a better place. That is the hope though. If we can take it into our hands and control the outcome, then it will go much better.

They may have us outgunned, out-manned, and be able to overwhelm us with their technology, but the revolution will not be bloodless. Thomas Jefferson said it best, "That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half for each state. What country ever existed a century and a half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it's natural manure."
(wiki.monticello.org...)

Even he declared that we need a rebellion every so often to make certain that our rulers know they cannot just walk over the people. Perhaps it is time we should take all our founding father's words to heart in regards to government.

I find this funny. While I do not argue that there are some severe injustices ongoing in American, I in no way think any of it justifies a Neo-American Revolution.

Reading the things you stated as your "reasons" for wanting to start another revolution, I had to laugh. Not being able to go outside in shorts for fear of being accused of rape or indecent exposure? Not being able to hug your friend? Seriously...now you want to go to war? Do you even understand what war entails?

I've seen war, and I write this in the midst of one that has been ongoing since 2001. I've been to Iraq and and now in Afghanistan...I've visited countless third-world countries throughout this world...and I've seen poverty on a level that you could never understand from your overpriviledged American point of view.

If you truly think that you have it so bad in the States...you are out of your mind. The worst day in American is far easier to cope with than even the best in many places throughout the world.

Count your blessings, because you are clearly taking them for granted.

And don't take this the wrong way; I am not telling you to love you government and follow them blindly...I am totally in your corner on the fact that our civil liberties are being taken away little by little and injustice is visible all over the US...but it is not so bad as to call for a Revolution. The consequences of such an event are far beyond your understanding. To topple a government and attempt to restore order and rebuild would take an incredibly long time, many lives would be lost, and much of our infrastructure would suffer as a result...and it is completely possible that things would not go your way, that your rebellion would be quelled by the government...and then what? And who's to say that if yo udo "win" said revolution, a country such as China wouldnt swoop in and pick up the pieces...?

And why propose a Revolution when you don't have a plan B?
Who are you going to put in charge of your Revolution?

Everyone knows something wrong and if you are smart you will understand that it didn't all just go kaput recently. In fact it didn't change much with Obama in spite of promises to the contrary.

That is why his own party is pissed off at him, they were promised change and got little of it, more of the same old same old. This should please the GOP but they were ordered to hang tight for 4 yrs, go against anything the President is for, the President just caught on (yes he IS slow) now saying he is for things he is against since Republicans are bound to do the opposite. SS and Medicare for example.

So you have an entire political party that stated from the get go they were going to oppose everything.

They were going to make this a one term President...and now we are supposed to believe this unrest NOW is all because the people are rankled? Maybe it could be because there is a faction of people out there hollering foul at everything.

You cannot do better until you can identify the problem and offer a solution.

One side says the problem is SPENDING - When we know when you are talking about Washington and the Nation and look at the charts and graphs, the category SPENDING covers a lot.

The other side says TAX THE RICH LIKE YOU TAX THE POOR and we often forget how much the rich already contribute.

Still another side says they are BOTH WRONG and MY WAY is far more CONSTITUTIONAL

So although we see two or three parties shouting in the streets for Obama's head- they are all constituents, a nation divided against Washington... and then divided again into parties with different solutions offered by the two or three diametrically opposed sides. Without a common direction presented, and one we all like, I don't see this populace going anywhere together...not even into a Revolution.

No, no revolution pending. We would have to all agree...not all disagree.

“United we stand; Divided we fall.”

First, I would like to point out that although everyone seems to disagree about "when" America became a police state nobody can disagree with that fact that somehow America has become a police state. And that is awesome to see. I can save time by not trying to prove what everyone already knows.

I propose that America has some sort of manic personality disorder. Whatever, we do, we often take it too far. Feed the homeless; welfare crisis. Go on the attack; absolute destruction. Feel bad about the previous destruction; reparations. Our penchant for taking all of our actions to the extreme was a predictable outcome of the nation that our founding fathers were building. That is why they enacted a living document like our constitution.

The Constitution of the United States of America was designed to be the leash that would reign in our enthusiasm as Americans. We are powerful because we act in concert. When our military goals are in concert with our political goals and our populace is also in support of them we become UNSTOPABLE. In this land the power of our belief is a tangible thing. However, without the support of the people nothing much gets accomplished. And if the people are not behind it then it shouldn't be happening anyhow.
United we stand, divided we fall.

“Here in America we are descended in spirit from revolutionists and rebels - men and women who dare to dissent from accepted doctrine.” ~Dwight D. Eisenhower, address, Columbia University, 31 May 1954

"Before you can break out of prison, you must first realize you're locked up." ~Author Unknown

Newcovent, from your post I think you agree that our system needs to be revamped. But despite Attrei’s inflammatory writing style I don’t think he is actually advocating war. War is the action you take when political means fail to achieve your objective.

Revolution isn't something that has a "plan B" as you so blithely described it. Revolution is a fundamental change in power or organizational structures that (often) takes place in a relatively short period of time. In this case Freedom is the objective. Everything else is strategy and tactics.

The goal is a constitutional government that responds to the will of the people. A bloodless revolution of words and ideas is absolutely preferable. But, I think what Attrei was trying to say is that there is no cost he would not be willing to pay, if the end result was the return of freedom to the people of the United States of America. That is the fundamental change in our political system that we need.

The American people must first realize that they have been imprisoned by their own fears before any successful revolution could begin. If we do not embrace and defend our hard won freedoms' then the federal government will eventually remove them.

With every Liberty we sacrifice, with every Freedom we willingly forego and with every Right we casually abandon; Americans move closer to socialism, communism and outright fascism. We must keep America free!

"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty."
~ Thomas Jefferson

"People should not fear their government. Government should fear their people."
~ V in V for Vendetta

The people have come to be afraid for their welfare if they stand against the governmental bureaucracy that has become what now leads the people. They know that if they try to stand up against any form of tyranny that they will be shot by the police force and military that has sword to protect and defend the constitution and liberties of the people, not suppress them.

The people do not wish to stand because they see themselves as weak. There is no liberty in this country. There is nothing in this country left but tyranny. They have taken and made our freedoms something that they can just throw over their shoulders at anytime they wish. They demand that we fear every little even that takes place in order to put us more in their control. They demand we fear the enemy that is far across the sea, because he is going to come here and blow us up. They demand that we fear the bad people taking away our jobs while the Government buys products produced in China instead of supporting American made products as they should be required to do by law.

When people live in fear for too long, they begin to realize that flight is no longer possible. In most creatures that have ever lived in this world, this always instigates the fight instinct. No one person can do anything alone. It requires the majority of our world to stand up and take a chance to fight. It will not end without a struggle. It will not end without death. No good thing in this world has ever come to being without a hard time.

America is no longer a free nation. We have been bought and paid for during the conflict between the elite and the underprivileged. We have lost that war. The war that is now coming is to restore all the freedoms that they have taken from us. The arguments have been made by many that we are still the “land of the free and the home of the brave”, but as I have said before,”We are the land of the Coward and the home of the Slave.” It is time for us to step away from the bonds that they have placed upon us, it is time for us to liberate ourselves from the tyranny that the government has placed upon our shoulders.

This challenge is given. Try to go down the street and get stopped by a cop without an ID. The cop will arrest the individual who has done this, even though there is no law requiring you to carry an ID on your person. Robert Heinlein said it best, “When a place gets crowded enough to require ID's, social collapse is not far away. It is time to go elsewhere”. We cannot go elsewhere on this planet. (The special elite have purchased everything except the bottom of the oceans .)This planet is too full for us to run anywhere else. (We could try going to the moon or mars, but the powers that be have already claimed them.)

Another fine example of this is the requiring of a license to run a lemonade stand. (www.theblaze.com...) The argument can be made that this little girl was cutting into other peoples business. If those adults can't spare a small percentage of their profit to let a child make money, they obviously don't need to be around the rest of society, their greed is too great. Perhaps some will say that the police are protecting us from dangerous criminals. Like a little old woman who gets attacked by the cops, then they say that she brutally assaulted them. (www.miaminewtimes.com...). It must be alright for them to do this though, they are the police. They are just trying to protect us (from little old ladies.) .

Perhaps the argument will be that (The talking heads/powers that be/? will claim that they are just trying to provide...) the government just wants to provide for everyone. Make us all equal. Stalin, Marx, and Hitler all said the same things. Therefore, a socialistic communism is alright by that philosophy. We the people have been brutalized, harassed, maltreated, and abused long enough. The time has come for us to stand up, take back our country, take back our rights, and fight against the fascism that claims to be our democratically elected officials. They have lost the mandate of the people, and it is our right and responsibility to remove from office, forcibly if need be, those who are no longer representative of the people.

I am not saying that all of the leaders in our nation are corrupt. What I do say, however, is that the majority of them are fallacious leaders with nothing more on their mind than making certain that their pocketbooks are filled at all times. I say no longer pay those in power, let the town and people provide them a home of no greater than the average constituent in their area, let them eat no more than the average constituent in their area, and let them have in their household no more things than the average constituent. They don't need pay checks, we the people should just provide them what they need to live, healthy and just as we all do. It is time to end this facade of democracy that now exists, it is time to restore to the people the power that they once had. No longer should we let the Federal government dictate our lives, no longer should we allow the states to take away our God given rights, of life, liberty and the PERSUIT of happiness.

I enjoyed this very much. Not only was it inspirational it sums up my feelings precisely. Not only did it sum up my feelings precisely, it tugged at my patriotic heart and made me misty for America and American ideals and anxious for the possibility it can and might be done. Our stolen rights returned and new freedoms won.
