The Pentagon will put the Navy SEAL death toll in the helicopter downing at 17, according to two Defense Department officials. Originally, Pentagon sources told the news media that 22 SEALs were killed.


Suspicious? Think so, does I....

"After an exhaustive manhunt, Special Operations forces located Mullah Mohibullah and the shooter after receiving multiple intelligence leads and tips from local citizens," the ISAF statement said. "The two men were attempting to flee the country in order to avoid capture." ISAF troops found and followed the two into a wooded area and, after ensuring no civilians were around, called for the airstrike, the statement said. Allen said the aircraft involved in the strike announced by NATO was the F-16, but he didn't say how many.


It's not like they need permission to drop bombs in this local, but I would imagine taking these targets out quickly is necessarily, for two reasons. 1) Allowing this to go unpunished would be a huge motivator to the Afghan insurgents. 2) If members of the Bin Laden hit squad were involved in this "accident," then I would say they did a good job tying up any loose ends.

The remains of all 38 of those killed in Saturday's incident arrived at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Tuesday for a "dignified transfer." Because the catastrophic nature of the crash made the remains difficult to identify, all were brought to the United States. The Air Force Mortuary Affairs Office explained that a "dignified transfer" is not a ceremony, but rather "the process by which, upon the return from the theater of operations to the United States, the remains of fallen military members are transferred from the aircraft to a waiting vehicle and then to the port mortuary."


So this is apparently what Obama, cancelled all public events for yesterday. Has anyone read if he actually did show to Dover? Or, did he just take this as an opportunity to get away for 18 holes of golf???

Yes, that would be an excellent cover to explain the dead SEALS in the bin Laden raid, but the extra dead in this latest crash cannot easily be explained, especially since they were SEALS. We can discount the dead Afgan troops as being relatively nameless as far as we can determine, but the loss of this Chinook? Those things are accountable. So the crash must have happened.

Suppose that we suspect that the remains of the SEALS killed on the bin Laden were temporily held somewhere in Afganistan and moved on this craft more rearward when it was mysteriously hit--not much of that happens these days--and the subsequent crash neatly hid the fact that the bodies were from the former raid and were in the condition reported from a person on the scene of that raid--bits and pieces.

After reading in James Bamford's second book on the how the military wanted to conduct Operations Northwoods which would purposely kill astronaut John Glenn in orbit and blame it on the Soviets in Cuba, I do not withhold any possibilities when it comes to how low my government will stoop to have things look their way.

I have no doubt in this case, but what a Chinook and crew could have been sacrificed (directly or indirectly) for the cause of a President and his military minions in deep crap already and in need of a coverup.
