With these stories come three types of folks: 1. The pusher of tolerance and respect who wants to see the racist destroyed for their beliefs (hypocrite); 2. the aloof reader unaware of any racist acts having taken place since the 1960's (or earlier) (naive); and 3. the super non-racist who will stop at nothing to prove how they love all colors and creeds (jack ass).


For those of you "sickened" by this story: if you were truly color blind and wished to set an example for society, you would ignore the race of the victim. It isn't enough that 7 dudes went looking for someone to hurt, but that someone was black!!??!!?? Why is that relevant? A person is dead because of these people, the color of his skin is irrelevant.

This black on white mob violence has happened over a dozen times the past year but the mainstream liberal media tends to overlook it.

Number 3 does remind me of an old white guy I saw during a discussion on CNN concerning racism. He was so pro-black even a black women was a bit I think he was even advocating reparations.

Democratic socialism pushes for such a state where racism doesn't exist.

A couple problems...it's impossible to enforce, easy to exploit.

Second it is a feminist movement that pushes for greater privileges for minorities and women.

Another problem, white people and men in general lose basic rights.

I assume you are talking about the 7 white kids who after a night of partying decided to go find themselves a black man and when they did, they beat him up, and then ran him over with their truck and killed him?

Race was brought into it because it was a hate crime based on race.....to ignore this fact is to ignore racism which is alive and well. If you turn a blind eye to racism, it will grow and fester.

Theres not anything wrong with being racist. It is a human instinct. Though I agree that in some cases it goes to far.

Racism in broader terms though is just making generalizations about a certain race, everybody does it.

Black people are bad tippers, even black people that I know will confirm this.

However it is a generalization, and not all black people are bad tippers, some are really good tippers.

I treat everyone the same, regardless. I have a right to make generalizations though, and I do not act upon them.

I agree 100%. I had read that some people were saying that if it had been a white guy, the story would not have made headlines like this one did. I believe it doesn't matter whether or not it is a major news story, and it doesn't matter whether it was a black person or a white person. The bottom line is that a human being was murdered by a bunch of cowards, and that individual has many friends and family members who, as of this very moment, are mourning heavily for their loved one.

I just wish Jesus would hurry up and come back to end all of this craziness.

Well, I disagree.

I see racism as a terrible thing.

And there are plenty of examples to go around...

This country has been fighting racism for a loooong time, and still is.

People are entitled to their opinions, however, when it comes to acting on those opinions, in the area of racism, it is wrong. hypothetical example, YOU who openly admit you are racist come into a position of power, with employees under you, time comes for a promotion, and you have to chose between 3 people, two of which are your own race, and the better qualified person who is of the race you do not like....

As a racist, what do you do?
You won't promote the other race...who knows you are racist..

Next thing you know your company is being sued...and unknowingly or maybe knowingly you are feeding the fire of mistrust and hatred that keeps the cycle of racism going for both sides.

Color of skin has nothing to do with what a person is on the inside.
Racism is ignorance pure and simple.

As I said I treat everyone the same but I have a right to guard myself and my family and I do not act upon it unless their is a perceived threat then I will.
