A) Do we really need polls?

B) Do we really want polls?

Seriously, for over ten years we've gotten along fine without polls, why the push for them now? They're divisive, misleading and unnecessary. We've never needed them before and we don't need them now.

Skeptic, whats crackin pops?

I have an idea for a poll.

'False Left Right Paradigm Poll'

Do you believe our left/right are controlled by the same entity?

Strongly agree.

Do you believe Paul Warburg a Rothschild agent drafted the federal reserve act of 1913?

Yes, it is a fact.

Do you believe both republican and democrats are reading the same script based on the "novel" 'Philip Dru'

Strongly agree.

Do you believe that the left and right are merely there to keep the shadows dark?

Strongly agree.

Do you think that people are divided amongst themselves by the left/right on touchy subjects like abortion, gay marriage..etc etc instead of focusing on real issues like the private printing of fiat currency in our name?

Strongly agree.

I can't wait for that poll.

wha wha wha?

They are divisive?

If anything they help to bring us together.

Sir, polls are a good idea, in some cases, some of the surveys I partake in the questions are so 'loaded' I give up on them, as regards ATS polls, I hope people remember that most of those who answer the poll will be American, so the poll results will reflect American views.

Maybe you should make a poll on Middle East issues.

Okay, hang on, I'm adding questions.

Some people speculate that Saudi Arabia is the next country where there will be uprisings. To what extent do you agree with this?

Agree-Disagree scale

Iran's president is said to believe he is on a holy mission to fulfill Islamic scripture. Do you think this is true? Does he really believe it?

Yes/No

How likely do you think it is that an Islamic Califate will form in the middle east in the near future?

Very likely
Likely
Not Sure
Unlikely
Very Unlikely

How much do you agree that Pakistan will be a country the US will war with in the future?

Agree-Disagree scale

Take a look at the last few polls, both their announcement and their follow up results threads. Read the conversations within those and tell me these polls aren't divisive.

Suggested Poll..

Assuming God knows everything and is LOVE, as the Bible states, why does He create children (i.e. Hitler) whom he knows in advance will kill millions of His other children?

a) I have no idea.

b) Because the Bible is wrong in defining God's nature.

c) There is no God, Creator, Overseer, etc..

d) Because God's ways are waaaay over our heads.

e) None of the Above. I'll give my response in the thread dedicated to this poll.

Hey,

Some subject matter I would like to see what people here think about would pertain to-

-Atlantis and Mu etc-connections between ancient civilisations etc
-Ancient Egypt, the Sphynx and the building of the pyramids
-Ancient technology compared to todays
-Elenin, Wormwood, Nibiru, Honda, Tyche, Nemesis etc

As for questions and direction, I would have to leave that up to someone with far more knowledge than me!

ATS Survey Results: The US and Eurozone Economies
ATS Survey Results: The U.S. Debt Crisis
ATS Survey Results: Online Privacy, Internet Advertising and The Independent Web
ATS Survey Results: President Barack Obama Results of the 2011 ATS User Survey

I dont really got the polls. I fillled one in on internet privacy because i though that was of use to ATS. The others are all about america. I live in the UK. What percentage of ats users fil these polls and and what is there intended use. Is it to create discussion.
I find the hard sell a bit annoying, the way the messages related to them flash up on the screen. Maybe there is a reason for this...

all the best

I would be interested in a Presidential picks poll for the US members and also who the international members would like to see in office here and in their own countries.

A poll on violent/nonviolent resistance to government/police brutality may be interesting as well, but considering the possible results, we may be damning ourselves as "dangerous," so....

The last one was excellently presented, by the way!

I don't have any ideas for a poll right now as i am suffering from a bout of intense applied apathy, maybe later when i have woken up a bit.

There are two good ones i've seen so far from fellow members, but i think this will take a least a week or two before all the good suggestions are delivered, early days then.

Got lots of questions, not sure if i can organize them into a logical order that would reveal the gestalt of the subject.

Designing a poll is not as easy as people think is it ?

Anyway, looking forward to cogitating and digesting my fellow members suggestions.

Here are some suggestions. I claim no cohesion.

What, if anything, are humans entitled to?
Is the US 2 party system a facade for a shadow government?
What type of government system, if any, should we be living under?
Do you trust the police? The military? The government?
Are you racist?
Do the elite conspire against the majority?
Is financial warfare in the spirit of capitalism?
Do you support the elite because you'd like to be one? Are you one?
Are you a Mason?
Are you religious or spiritual?
Do you believe in ghosts?
What is the smallest offense to which you would you resort to violence? Shouting? Insulting?
Are you are living outside the law or precedent? If so, are you fearlessly facing the possibility of a showdown or punishment?
Are you happy with your job?
Are you happy with your amount of leisure time?
Are you hoarding supplies for an emergency?
Do you have faith in gold as a trade item?
Do you have mental wounds that have not healed or regrets?
