I forgot that this was the calibre of the intelligence of those in the Military!

Awesome that you guys aren't to blame. No one is forcing you to go against your will. You DO have a choice, but to turn around and blame Joe Public is just as bad.

I, personally, will never join the Military, of any sort. I find them to be soulless cowards and state-sanctioned murderers, despite any redeeming qualities they have outside of 'work hours'.

So we are the souless cowards, please explain what you are doing, besides blaming the military and typing on ATS.

So by stringing together a few words that express my not-so-PC view of those simple-minded enough to call everyone in the military murderers, those fool-hardy enough to think they have a clue about the reality of those conflicts without setting foot within 2000 miles of them, those egotistical enough to think they are better or their hands are clean; it makes me unintelligent?

Dude gas prices are down. Go get gas. Jump in your car and drive all over the country. Then come back and post a reply

Really are you serious, gas isn’t down it’s still almost $4.00 a gallon in my area and higher in surrounding areas. And if you’re trying to use gas price as justification for invasion you are such an epic fail. We don’t need to kill and be killed for fossil fuels, there are plenty for the taking right of the coast we can also create some jobs in the process. Not only are you brainwashed, you enjoy the crap you handlers feed you.

If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it. -David Rockefeller

The only problem i have with this quote from Rockefeller is that nowhere does he say he plans on throwing us in prison camps and releasing biological weapons, or anything of the sort. I have no problem with every person on the planet living under the same economy, the same laws and the same beliefs. We are all one people, aren't we? At the very least that would eliminate petty wars between nations. Patriotism is for ignorant fools who choose not to understand people are people.

In case you all havent figured it out, this is a prime example why we fight.

You can clearly see a cohesive military force here, where we back each other up and support each others opinions. That is why I fight, for them, so they can come home from whereever the powers to be send us.

And guess what, I damn will kill whoever tries to kill me or one of them. That is not murder, that is defense.

So go ahead and throw your hippy spin on this

I never said that. I only learn to kill terrorist and treat my wounded brothers. There is honor in all work. I wont apologize for my profession. What is yours out of curiousity? I just want to to get in your car go look around the country and tell me if you think it is a great country. Thats all. By the way any misspelings are due to the 6 or 7 people that i am discussing with im just multitasking.
Also what is wrong with confidence? You seem to have a personal problem with me. Is that the case?

they're fighting on the rich banker's behalves...period.....

If they are, that's on you, baby! Why did you as a citizen give those rich bankers control of your affairs to begin with?

Don't piss and moan about it now... people like you set it up to begin with!

I don't use a bank account!!!! period.....I won't put my money in those filthy places.....Hell, i don't even like using their filthy debt money, but it's the only thing anyone will take for goods and services.....

I don't use banks, either. have not done in years. No checking account, no nothing. Cut up all my credit cards and got out from under the debt hamster wheel in the mid 90's. Bankers do not control me, and I'm damn sure not going to point a finger and claim that someone else is killing for them That claim is a weak fallback position.

Either they control your country, and you allowed it, or they do not, in which case it's a false claim to say that soldiers kill for bankers.

Only soldiers know WHY they kill. Ask a few some time, see how many say "I kill for bankers".

i don't vote either because I know that no matter who you vote for, they are already payed and bought by the same people who bought and payed for the last one.....it's a shame....I wish that they weren't doing this to soldiers....I understand that soldiers have to learn comradery when you are forced to go to those countries and fight someone you don't even know....who are trying to kill you every chance they get....but remember, those guys are being done the same way on their side....in fact, the same people that are funding us, are funding them...it's just plane sick.......i think alot of people here are angry at the whole system and they are venting it out on the unwitting tools of the elite..

The irony of the warship in your avatar and your stance on the American military is like nectar.

Soldiers aren't civilians. They know going in that their function is point and shoot. If you don't like it, don't join up. Personally I'm glad there are people willing to do that so I don't have to.

Do I agree with our military being everywhere and in everyone's business? No, I don't. I don't like the thought of them killing people in another country that has little to nothing to do with U.S. defense from enemy attack.

But I do thank them for being willing to take that bullets that I don't have to, because at some time they will be called on to actually defend the U.S.

I, for one (literally, it seems), am glad they exist.

/TOA

yes it is.

we may be poor, but at least the rest of the world does not hate us.

and rightfully so judging by statements like yours

maybe you should look at portugal for a glimpse of your future.

we "ruled" the world once too

look how good that served us

You have no f*cking idea what I have seen or done over there, nor what any other man or woman has seen or done. Quit assuming you have any idea whatsoever because it makes you sound like the ignorant, spoiled little child you most likely are. You limp-wristed little punk, to think that a large percentage of people "think" like you is scary. The view must be great from your overly simplified and tainted perspective.

You can keep reacting like this as much as you want. The only thing it proves is that whoever you're responding to, has hit a nerve, and you're feeling threatened, so you feel a need to lash out like this.

As for civilians having an excessively simplistic worldview, you're projecting. We aren't the ones who need to be given open and shut rationalisations about why it's supposedly ok to drag people out of their houses and shoot them in the street.

You don't have any justification for any of what you do. You get dropped into a situation which you yourself aren't responsible for, and the only thing most of you have on your minds, is getting out of said situation alive. I don't hold that against you at all, but what I damn well *will* hold against you, is your insistence that we swallow the same # that you have been force fed, about why you get sent over there.

You are corporate mercenaries. You are not protecting anyone's freedom. You are there to facilitate corporate resource grabs, and kill the people living in said countries when they try and re-assert their own sovereignty. And when the civilian population of America finally wakes up and realises this, then the corporations will order you to start shooting *them*, as well; and most of you will mindlessly obey, like the non-discerning cannon fodder you really are.

It's nothing more than ignorance to believe that violence ends violence. And surely you would be perfectly fine with "enemy" soldiers killing your nations soldiers because after all they were just defending themselves from you, right?

Yeah, end life to save yours or others, sort of like if someone tries to kill you, you are allowed to defend yourself.

Its not a game of chess.

I grew up in countless army bases across the world, so it probably won't come as any surprise that I disagree with the whole tone of the OP and the supporters thereof.

I know and have known many wonderful, upstanding pillars of the country. They are not mindless killers, just people like you and me, but people who are brave enough to get their fingers out for a cause. If that cause is questionable to you, then so be it, vote for the other guy next election. These military men and women form a bond that civilians will never fully comprehend, so they can deal with the criticism and naysaying, let it slide and go on with their missions. Not everyone will agree with an assignment, but when was the last time you agreed with everything your boss wanted you to do? The difference with military life, if you disagree, the road to solving that problem is a little longer and involves court martials.

I can see what people are saying, I really can, but I think that unless you have lived in their shoes, you cannot understand what it is like.

Also, they have never asked to be labelled as heroes, that's just what some see them as. They don't ask for thanks, just the ability to come back to civilian life without being spat on or derided for their service. Don't blame the soldier for the directives of the chief.

No violence doesnt end violence, and Im not sure how Iranians, Saudi Arabians, Syrians coming to Iraq to kill Americans is defending Iraq either. Your point is mute.
