Are you seriously suggesting that the President was complicit in ordering that helicopter into a Taliban trap? Seriously? You should be ashamed of yourself. And the rest of you for not calling this dipstick on such an egregious suggestion. WTF is wrong with you people?

Something's Up!
The White House just announced that all public events have been cancelled today, including a much-publicized appearance by President Barack Obama at a company in Springfield, VA to highlight new fuel efficiency standards.
Obama has faced criticism over his slow response to the Standard and Poor's downgrade as well as the stock market plunge.
As the Fed meets today, there is some speculation that Obama is preparing an announcement on the economy — perhaps that he will call Congress back into session from its August recess to pass job-creation legislation.
Any guesses?
If I was feeling particularly jaded, I would wildly speculate that we were about to announce some 'necessary' military action somewhere in the world.
That's a templated approach that has been used before.

It doesn't need to be a dramatic reason for this, maybe he just doesn't feel too well today and better don't say nothing so it won't affect the market. Maybe he got diarrea, he got lotta crap to dump.edit on 9-8-2011 by Trueman because: (no reason given)

First of all, WOW, does Obama ever look like Akhenaten.
secondly, i still feel he was bred for his position, but he's
still half human, and the human part is starting to remind
him that his overlords are creeps and controllers and i think
it's becoming a bit much for him to disect right now.

But my grandfather? well, he might as well have given the thousands he lost yesterday to the poor, because now it is simply just gone. (Remember the old expression ..."What goes around, comes around")
Oh..wait..theres an idea....your money is in stock, it is now gone....hmmmmm.....maybe the stock market should not hold such a high hand over this country?
(It's one big gambling casino with few winners and lots of losers)
does no one see this? (I do) am I abnormal? (NO!)
if it were to me? Crash it! why do we have the stock market? for us?
(No ... to make the rich richer, along with a few pions as well -- most people, the masses, don't get rich off of the stock market. It's just perception, not reality, designed to hook more people in. The more that play, the more $$$ is in the pot, so to speak, sort of like the State Lottery Systems - the more who "play & lose", the more $$$ in the pot for the real winners)
(We hear a lot more about those who made a killing, but no one mentions the retired guy who lost everything and the housewife who lost her savings. We hear considerably more about those who made a fortune, not those poor schmucks who lost, so our perception becomes skewed or distorted and consequently we get reeled in - we think ... "Hey, that could be me -- all those fat-cats, they got lucky, why can't I?)
I know many of you on here are not Christian, great, fine, but there are still some "Moral" stories that hold true in the book of the BIBLE. One particular. A man, had an extremely good crop one year. So much so, he had no room in his store room for all the extra harvest. The people in his village were starving, with no food. So, what did he do with the extra food? he spent his money and built a bigger store house. 2 days later, a storm comes through, destroys the older store room, the newer store room, his house and every bit of his harvest.
Sure...the storm would have probably came through anyway, but the point is...he still no longer had it, and nothing to show for it. It would have gone better given to those who needed it. Sometimes we have to ask why we have extra?
(We are not judged by 'what comes our way' ... we are judged by 'how we handle what comes our way')
Here, my grandfather, is very greedy, his education in business and finances has done him very well. But he has no sympathy for those in need. (Sounds like a classic Sociopath) He laughs (If you look up 'the traits or characteristics of a Sociopath', you'll see him) when I tell him I make free birthday cakes for foster children, or when he and my grandmother are here to visit during the holidays, they tell my mother she is crazy (If she is crazy, then he is sane -- do you see the "rationale"?) that she buys extra food to give away. (Typical Sociopath) Here, he had thousand and thousands not sure how much, but a significant amount in stock, he has lost it. That money is now gone,...simply gone, don't even know where it has ended up. How much better it would have been used with someone who truly needed it. (We reap what we sow)
To me...we give the stock market and S&P to much voice. (I agree)edit on 10-8-2011 by Nkinga because: (no reason given)

Well first off the goverment does not create jobs. It merely sets the environment as far as taxes, ect. No jobs are being created because everyone is holding on to what money they have and are not taking risks financing anything unecessary. The best thing for our economy would be for the house, senate, and presidents to all step down and hold special elections to put new people on office.
