2011 Global Stock Market Collapse Watch

The speech is supposed to last about 10 minutes. My optimism is slowly fading away. Looks like it'll be more of the same.

Found an interesting channel (stream) out of Canada. Something to listen to while you read and watch tickers etc. I still think DOW down 5+% by days end.

It's not even exclusively about the economy either - he's covering the helicopter crash that killed the special forces as well. The chances of there being anything of substance in this address is close to zero.

dow is down more than 400, might want to update that image with something that is more recent

just got word, obama is running late. he's on the phone with his broker, unloading his shares in anticipation of the stock plummeting further as a result of his inability to do anything

From what most of the talking heads are saying on the MSM is that everyone is overreacting, but what they are failing to mention is that this on top of a snowball effect of bad news is causing this.

Yikes, S&P heading for -5% and DOW towards -4%.

Obama better have good news.

there is a lot of overreacting going on but when people overreact and it causes the markets to drop, the folks who didn't overreact are now watching their investments drop so they react accordingly, pulling money to safety. this will push the markets lower and the overreactors will overreact some more etc.
