In recent years, we've seen hollywood turn out alot of movies dealing with alien visitation, alien attack, etc...
One of the theories is that the Anunnaki enslaved humans were to mine gold to power their starships.
Holy cow, your right!!!!!! I can't imagine there could be any other reasonable explanation for this, such as market demand and capitalism.

This question has been asked over and over , and the answer remains the same .... No they are just making movies that people want to watch , making space and Alien movies lets you pump up the eye candy , again what people want to see .
