It's kind of funny that Hannibal Lectre was a doc, but ate the two parts that are really bad for you (liver and brain)...at least in the films. Was this a page from the Andes Plane Crash Survivor's Cookbook?

Yes that can explain what happened to the Good Dr.

I believe the cookbook was passed down to the Andes's Survivors by the Donner Party.
